  5. hey you are getting out fishing, that's all that counts, getting fish is a bonus and with photoshop and that bad boy can be any monster fish you like theres the big one...lol sorry too much time on my hands
  6. Sturgeon the great lakes have them but they are hard to find in big water you need to fish rivers to have any real chance of getting one these days there is a spring run into the notty and the other rivers off georgian bay ....but it's to shallow to hold many fish

  16. I have heard that the pike have moved there from canal lake but I have never seen one and when they get to a new lake you should see hunderds of little pike and that just has not happened but there are muskie, that might be what they were thinking the walleye fishing has been slow this year for me but the smallmouth bass has been good any rocky shoreline or hump or point or where rocks meet weeds seems to hold them
  17. I have been doing something like that to my topo maps for some time but if you have the garmin blue charts why not just load them on you gps
  18. maybe I am seeing this the wrong way but $100,000 not 100 million but 100,000 bucks that will pay the guy in charge 1 years salary but not much more and that's for one year..what about next year walleye brings in every year $50 million a year for the Peterborough alone and they want to help with $100,000 I am underwhelmed or am I reading it wrong
  19. great fish great fishing I hope I get out there a few times this fall love simcoe smallies
  20. if you are only going to use it in one boat then a fixed mount unit with antenna is the best way to go but if you want to use it in many different boats or locations then a good "good" handheld is the way to go you can hook them up to external antennas and you can buy amplifiers for them to make them just as good as any fixed mounted unit
  21. I really like mine but I don't use it much any more as I also have the map76cs but the non colour one isn't bad all the maps work, you need a serial number for hydro maps so you must buy them ,but the canada topo maps need no number on it .if it fits your budget it will fill your needs
