no the one in the water is being pulled by it's collar I sometimes put a spinner blade on the collar for more splash and I just troll it at 4 MPH the smaller ones I hook through the lip, for more action and they work best casting them and working them as a jerk bait take very long pauses between jerks. they have there own natural action that drives muskie crazy
