Thats 50c in empties there. I think those guys don't drink good beer and don't have any respect for the place or people around them. There should be a steep penalty for acts of laziness like this. Maybe a one year suspension of ones fishing licence? Would that be enough of a deterant? To answer the original post, IMO, both are equally guilty. If someone brought a vehicle out there AND left all that, they're guilty of double laziness and get the prize as least favourite for sure. Actually, I'd say the guy(s) that left the mess are crap. Think about it, how many times have you been out and see litter and DON'T pick it up. I can say for sure that theres been times where I've walked away from litter I don't want too, but sometimes it takes the fun out of just being outdoors. Eventually it becomes part of the landscape. Thats not to say I don't pick up trash left behind, I do. Frequently. But theres only so much you can do without overextending yourself.

'67 Leafs: One for the ages - Updated with pics!
Jigger replied to Gerritt's topic in General Discussion
Hey Dan where are the Habs going? I'd love to see all the Canadian teams in the playoffs, but the Bleu-Blanc et Rouge are going to ruin that. Thats what happens when your players don't give a hoot, just want to get their cheque and bugger off. I'm surprised Gainey has let it go on as long as he has, but hes got bigger problems. That was not a celebration of heroes, it was an introduction. Keon looked like he was eager to be anywhere else. The Leafs have been playing nice for so long now, if hes not going to play nice, just leave the guy be. -
Maybe all the years of anglers taking their limit has caused the population to crash? Couple that with the fact that the Musky can see much better in there now due to zebra mussels and logic tells me the Walleye population could be in serious trouble. Oh, right... The Crappie is to blame.

The way this winter is turning out workwise, I'll be working extra hours to recoup some lost funds. So it'll be weekend trips for me. Too bad, I was hoping to really turn it up a notch this year. The good thing(or bad) is, I live 15 min from Scubog. So hopefully I'll get out with some OFC'ers up this way for some evenings.

Glad your daughter will be OK, Lew. When I read this, the first thought I had was the same as Tybo...BMW. Wishin your daughter a speedy recovery.

No roe eh? Thats not a bad idea. I don't use roe, so it wouldn't affect me in the least, but I'm sure alot of guys would have a problem with that. Besides what do you do with the eggs once you've taken a female for food? Caviar anyone?

Yeah, Northhunter, I remember reading those articles as well. Thats pretty crazy, though, taking over 700 fish, Sturgeon no less from a single waterbody. Not Perch, Sturgeon. Imagine 700 Muskie were taken from Scugog this winter?

Entropy beat me to it...Get a drywall scraper and wait for the dog to drop a big steamer, and stuff the doo under the handle of the car door. Wait until monday, its supposed to get to +9deg . You can put it in the keyholes, door handles, welcome mat. Theres also the Grumpy old Men scene where Walter Matthou?sp? puts the dead fish in the back seat you're going to use a substitute, of course . The possibilities are endless, really. Good luck, man, and remember, revenge is a dish best served cold.

I was planning on going Saturday, but it turns out the boss called work off. Looks like I have some time to kill. My better half and self will be there today....leaving soon, I guess. I want to catch the Pike and Muskie seminars starting at 130 and will need time to fill a bag with stuff before that... C-U-There!

Valentines with MEPPS and Mrs.MEPPS (AKA-The Stumpies)
Jigger replied to snag's topic in General Discussion
Believe it or not, I was willing to go through with this procedure and pm'ed Mepps about it. Then I thought about it, smacked myself around abit, and to make a long story short, I still have all my digits . -
Just read Darcys thread about his hut getting broken into. It got me thinking about Northern hospitality. I've come across boats in rural areas and was always of the understanding that you could use these boats as long as you returned them in the same shape you found it in. But what about ice huts? Do the same rules apply? If you came across a hut and no-one was in it, could you bring yourself to fish in it? Or what if you found someone hunkered down in your hut, what do you think your reaction might be? If it was a real emergency, I wouldn't think twice. Same with the boat. I've never used any of these boats and I certainly wouldn't venture onto the ice in the hopes that there MIGHT be an empty hut out there. Ayways, thats my ramble, have a great day and stay safe if you're going out today.

Hope you didn't lose anything. If I had a hut, I'd do what some other guys have said and leave it open.

I was out one time and ended up taking the heads off the minnows I was using. I thought maybe the white eyes were turning the fish off also that maybe chopping the heads off the minnows would release more scent . But you know, I ended up with some fish that may or may not have been caught if I didn't behead those minnows . Oh, was fishing lakers and tipped a jigging spoon with the minnow bodies.

hey pete. I think that instead of pulling the bench you could make a deck that sits on the middle and front benches. We did that with our old 12ft'er. Cut the plywood to shape and screw in some 2x2s to hold the deck in place. One set in front of the middle bench and one set behind the front bench. This way you get the added room that you're looking for and can still take the deck out if you're just cruising with the family. Hope this helps!

When I was registering as an apprentice, I asked about that "grant" and was told it was actually a loan for up to 800.00 and would have to be repaid. If we can claim up to 500.00, though, thats at least something.

I'd be there in a flash, if I lived near Ottawa. Should be a great show. Have fun man!

I'll also go with the oversized spinnerbait. Not many situations that a spinnerbait can't produce, IMO. Fish it high, low bulge it, slowroll it. You can bang it off rocks, snake it through heavy timber and weeds. The only time I won't be using one is trolling. Because I don't catch fish trolling My opinion is a little biased, though. I had a pb year for numbers last season and all but one came on a spinnerbait.

Did I say DONATE? I meant TRADE...

Heres the thing, I already said I'd give up the tickets. But if Motorhead gets the first set, than I donate my winnings to nautifish. I'm not about to mess with the fishing gods!!! Have fun Nauti !
