This is a pretty good link for site info...http://www.angelfire.com/blues2/bcaron/campsite.html

Sounds like you had a good day! You can resize them if you have "paint" program. Open picture in "paint". Click on "image" on the top tool bar. Click stretch/skew. Change the numbers from 100% to something like 50%. (depending on the size of the image, you can play with the numbers to get the right size) Once done, click "save as". Good luck!

Congrats on the new granddaughter! That is the same gps unit I bought my wife for Christmas and she loves it. She says it is VERY user friendly (must be if she figured it out, lol) and very accurate. All the best in the New Year!

Deerrock was a great lake at one point, (check out the 6.5 smallie from there on the wall of Bill's bait in Cloyne), still has lots of fish but as you said smaller sized. I find Skootamata alot better for size but tougher to locate numbers, could be I haven;t fished it enough, it is a fairly big lake. My favourite crown land camping/fishing lake is north of there though, my avatar pic was taken there....pm sent.

You are right about it having Lake Trout and Bass. That looks like all it has though, as does the other lakes within that chain and most of them in the surrounding area. Looks like an okay sized lake, it is connected to Lake of Islands and the Dickey Rvr. Not sure, but if you can navigate the Dickey Rvr. into Freen Lake that could be a fun bass lake. (no roads into it) I can also tell you there is a launch on the north end of Dickey Lk. , not sure if it is public or marine owned. Hope this helps some!

I just told my wife about it, as her cousin is dealing with a child with autism, it wasn't on. Did we miss it? Just heard it is on next. Thank you!

It is not illegal to use them as long as the light is part of the lure. Quote from the regulations state... "It is illegal to: Use artificial lights to attract fish except; 1. To fish for smelt, or to fish for lake whitefish or lake herring with a dip net. 2. If the light is part of a lure attached to a line used in angling."

I was wondering about him too. Dan the Man hasn't been around either. Hopefully all is well and they are just too busy fishing!

Mount Hope to Crotch Lake for a one day fishing trip, wow! That wouldn't be my lake of choice for only a day. Kawartha's are much easier lakes to figure out then Crotch. Tumblehome Lodge should be able to help you as far as locations and presentations to try. Also if you go to Google Images search "crotch lake fishing maps" click on the first thumbnail picture you see. Good luck, hope to see a report. GCD no muskie only pike!

The Towers seem to be the thing that sticks out most in everybody's mind, (for obvious reasons) but let's not forget the attack on the Pentagon and the hero's "flight 93." God bless!

Awesome fish! Welcome to OFC.

Awesome stuff!

You can fish the Trent River from almost everywhere in the town. Below the dams at most of the locks is a good starting point. The mouth of the Trent where it flows into the Bay of Quinte has lots of shoreline to fish also.

I heard the Red River and Winnipeg River are other good spots to try for Sturgeon.

Interesting...is this the Maple Lake connected to Beech and Green Lake? None of the 6 or more lakes in that chain list having pike in them, in fact nowhere around Haliburton has any lakes with pike in them. (i know elephant and bastiste do, closer to bancroft) Anyhow, it is a very nice pike you caught there!

I think this is the link...http://lfpress.ca/newsstand/News/Local/200...371878-sun.html Not good but it was going to happen sooner or later. I am not sure what can be done but hopefully somebody comes up with something.

Story Lake In Cloyne Back With A Report July 16th
Lostchild replied to valerie's topic in General Discussion
Good to hear you had a great time and caught some fish! I have never fished Story Lake but I have fished almost every other lake in the Land of Lakes area. It seems those smaller pike are everywhere and sometimes can become a nuisance, but something biting is better than nothing. Oh ya where are the pictures! lol -
Head Lake is right in the town of Haliburton. It has bass and muskie, both can be caught about 20ft off shore almost anywhere around the perimeter of the lake. The town docks early/late evening can be awesome, throw out a shallow running perch pattern crank and see what happens. Can't help with Wasaga though.

Congratulations, very nice looking rig! The one thing I did notice though is you are going to need to add some navigation lights to her.

"Keep in mind guys that Rick said the noise disappears after an oil change so it kind of rules out ping. It must be related to the engine lubrication system in some manner.?????" Very good point, I overlooked that part. lol
-
As stupid as this may sound, I would suggest checking the catalytic converter. Had two of the work vans changed out over the last 3 months. I would have never guessed that was what was causing the pinging/tapping sound from them. It sounded that the noise was definitely engine related but, as i say, turns out only a bad catalytic.
