  1. Now theres someone that ought to be shoved off a bridge ( into a dry lake ) Thieveing bugger, hope you catch him
  2. I never fail to read your threads. Thanks from Kansas USA
  3. crappie.com is a good one. the missouri and kansas boards tend to be a little lively at times
  4. nice ski and an excellent bass. i'm always impressed with the size of largemouths caught up there. that bass is what? probably 7-8 yrs old
  5. Hell we ain't all bad. I've fished legally in Ontario for many years and gotta say theres many times I catch myself wishing I lived in Perrault Falls. I do agree with strict consequences, maybe even turn em loose nutless. Try to remember in the event of a major catrostraphe or lets say Canada's been placed under attack you know who will be first to offer aid.
  6. Fought that battle for a long time, could find no nicks in the wires nothing. Finally unhooked my side marker lights, replaced the fuse and bingo no blown fuse ever since. Quick fix but worth a try
  7. This is an interesting thread. I can say that coming from the states we usually stay at Perrault and will take a "fly out" one of our days to a remote crown owned lake. Zizania I believe. Flight and all is a 200 dollar bill, and the day goes fast. We are not allowed to keep any fish, no shore lunch, and leave nothing behind. The fishing is excellent as you would imagine. I've never seen anyone there that has not flown in and the only way may be a canoe but the small river or creek really is choked with everything imaginable. I can say this, if someone made it in theres a decent shot that no one flew that day. Theres really nobody to stop you as the pilot's on a very tight schedual and won't be leaving the plane for anything. Just sayin
  8. just saw your thread and your still a while from going so thought i'd respond. those are both along with spadinia and turtle great lakes to fish. weather your staying at rainbow, rockyshores, or montock they all all good lodges. theres enough fishing to hire a guide for a day though he'll probably fish perrault you need to boat to cedar for muskie. start at the transition between the two lakes (just past the burned bridge) and fish into the first two coves on your right. i'd refer you to rockyshore but you may already be booked. good smallmouth in perrault also. if i was single i'd sell everything and buy one of those cabins on perrault and never stress another day in my life
  9. living here in kansas i've spent many hours hunkered down in the basment waiting a tornado warning out. not fun. how sad for those men, familys, and lodge owners. i've also driven on 105 when one of those storms hit. frightening
  10. darnit! i would like to post some of my jigs as well but am really struggleing putting up a picture. how do you pickup the code from your picture and incert it? says its too large (come on they're only 1/32) so i sent it to photobucket but can't lift it from there. any tips?
  11. mek will clean just about anything but it also takes all the oil out of your skin for days. wear gloves
  12. you are so lucky! here in the great state of kansas we're easily 4 wks or more from a very short season. MAYBE 3 wks if we're lucky. my son and i did get to spend a chilly morning fishing a coal powerplant cooling lake for black and white bass. note water temps 67 f. what we wouldn't give to be drilling ice for pike, perch and walleye!
  13. good choice! i've had a smoker since 99. good boat and fast
  14. of course you turned in your man card when you picked that one ......right?
  15. what an amazing way to honor your parents and friends. My mom and dad have been gone for years but your photos put em right back in my heart. thanks for sharing
  16. believe me you've little to worry about. I banged a submerged tree in my smokercraft and had many rivets leak...alot! Finally found a shop and they fixed it perfectly, but did remove the interior to do so. Cost was 4700.00
  17. I found this thread under my favorite area of ontario and thought I'd reply. (late) Cedar is a teffific lake with several older lodges catering to mostly american cliental.. heck nothing wrong w/ americans right? I have to mention the musky fishing as I've found it to be world class. In a single evening (last yr) my son boated 3 in 2 hrs with the largest being 49". That photo will hang in our home forever. Good walleye fishing and great shore lunch spots. One in particular is located right @ the mouth of the Perrault/Ceadr transition on a beautiful point.(e) Smallmouth are a bailout fish if the others are stingy, find the rocky shoreline etc. I've never fished it for northerns. I'll never forget sticking a nice walleye, playing it, then seeing the dark shadow which when a little shallower became the largest musky I've ever seen. Must of taken 10 min to switch over to our heaver eqpt. good luck
