Thanks John for the update!!! This is awesome that you had though of dipping the plastics into the juice but not so good that you forget to bring it with you LOL I think that the added scent will yield results in your hunt for them bass.... I like to hunt them wacky style with the added scent of the Gulp product.... I used to use the following hooks, wide gap with a 7" minnow worm in cherry seed which produce phenomenal results but can't seem to find those worms any where this year So I got looking and came across those better hooks (Mustad Octopus) for this setup and since I could not find the bait that I wanted, chose the 5" sinking minnow in black A real deadly combination that I think will produce. So all this to say that I'm a firm believer in the Gulp products.... Give it a try, you'll be surprised Leechman

My sons first Camping trip (pics and videos dial up beware)

Great report LBH Yeah your pics are kind of small.... I'd recommend a Photobucket account, it's real easy and you can set the resolution to your likings... I have mine set to 1024x768 for uploading and they really come out great. Your little guy seemed to have enjoyed his first time out camping and handled his first fish like a pro Weather wise is not the greatest but you got to spend quality time with your family Thanks for taking the time to post and share it with us!!! The dungeon... always a good place to be when the weather is crappy out there LOL That's a good assortment you have created John!!! I'm assuming that they are all plastics.... Have you thought of trying gulp products for those jig heads?? or just dip them in the alive juice for a little while before using them. I really think that Gulp would increase your chances of getting a strike with those finicky bass.... It's always my go to bait when not using live ones If you go down to the river... let us know the results. Leechman

Yeah Jocko was thinking the same thing LOL but the cone shape lead was heavier and help stabilize it in the water. Leechman

Thanks folks, I like the names that was suggested LOL Real inspiring LOL Keep those coming Haven't decided yet LOL Thanks Billy, yes I have tested it in the kitchen sink and it laid down flat on it's side once I put it in Cool cram I will give it a try and post my results when I do!!! ****** UPDATE ****** I've been thinking of adding lead inserts into the pieces I have made to help stabilize them once they were in water and could not decide what I could do.... I left home around 11:00am this morning and purchased cone shaped sinkers. I got busy trying to figure out how I could do this and I finally got the guts to drill holes into my finsihed pieces on the bottom using my press drill, added epoxy, dropped the lead in and filled the hole with more epoxy Here is the results After I let it set and dry.... tried it in the sink again... here is the results This is an improvement from my first trial!!! I think she might just make it with being retrieved and also this one which is 100% improvement compared to yesterday which was floating on it's side Now I just need to go out and give it a good test!!! Thanks again folks Leechman

Jigging lakers and my 1st attempt at a Musky
Leecher replied to limeyangler's topic in General Discussion
Great report, pics and videos Simon You got to love it when you can hook into quality fish like that!!! I think you just found a real gem for big eyes Like Lunker said bring a paper puncher next time and punch a hole in the tail.... That way you'll be able to determine if it's the same fish or not. How far is that lake from your place?? Good luck with your musky hunt.... I'm sure it's just a matter of time before you land your first!!! Thanks again for sharing and keep up the excellent work Jacques -
Great report and pics Lunker Sweet reward for your efforts!!! Nice hawg Thanks for sharing Leechman

Just added 10 more for ya!!!

Thanks Mark!!! Yes it's a one piece including the lip.... What I wanted to really do is add a plastic lip after it was carved but just did not know where to buy those.... so I reduced the height of it to be able to fit the lip on a 1" x 2" piece of wood I was working on. Next project will be a 5" Zara spook for top water bass!!! Leechman
