  1. Good job Castro!
  2. those fish are salmon
  3. Does anyone out there have or have used an Sub Zero Ice Storm33 by Eskimo. It is an 8in power auger 1.2hp 33cc motor. I just picked one up at CanTire for half off. Not sure if its a piece of junk or not. Thanks in advance. By the way there were lots of Nautilus and Mustang floater coats still left, half price.
  4. Great fish! Your other vids are cool too.
  5. If that speck is a cookie cutter average from that lake, I would love to see the big ones outta there. Great fish none the less! You earned it.
  6. Very cool pics. You should frame that one, it's a great photo.
  7. Thanks fellas. Just to let everyone know that I actually cropped the photos to eliminate unneeded background. The cameraman was actually far from the fish. Thanks again for looking. We estimated her weight at somewhere between 15-17 lbs, shoulda seen its gut.
  8. It's cool that your girl gets out there with you and smokes fish too!
  9. I have had some successful outings this winter with some of my buddies. Lakers have been biting very well in different areas and on multiple bodies of water. We have iced quite a few big lakers in the 8-10lb range but this is my biggest. Never weighed it but it was like a basketball with a giant head and tail. This blockhead of a trout had some beautiful fins on her. She was released like the rest of them. Although we catch some nice sized lake trout on the niagara bar, catching big fish through a hole on a short rod and moving and finding fish in new locations is alot of fun. Can't wait to get out again.
  10. Right on! Those are some good whities.
  11. My buddy salts the minnows we don't use on trips. I think the salt kills everything and adds flavor to the bait
  12. Those lakers are huge.
  13. I am sorry for your loss.
  14. Awesome! Good looking fish. 2nd pic of the pike is cool.
  15. Good job. Those are some nice trout
  16. Good fish Leech!
  17. That's the way to do it!
  18. Saw an episode of FishTV where Leo and Ron are fishing pike in Esnagi lake and Ron catches a silver pike in the 12-15lb range. I think they said 1 in every 19, 000 pike get this colour mutation. The guide on the show said that they are common in that area.
  19. Good report.
  20. Right on!
  21. Good job guys!
  22. Had a great day on Simcoe Friday. Started at 10am in 80 feet, only caught herring. I suggested trying deeper and it paid off. Moved to 110 feet and started to hammer them. The hot bite started around 1pm and lasted 2.5 hrs then completely died off when the wind and clouds rolled in. I guess the calm before the storm theory was true for us. Right before the bad weather rolled in we iced over 20 lakers and only 2 whities. The biggest laker and biggest whitefish were released without being photographed only because the action was so good we really just wanted to get them back and drop our lines down again. We used set lines but most fish came off jigging williams spoons and tubes. My buddy was on fire and iced over 10 fish, the other 10 or so caught were split between me and another buddy. We didn't land any true monsters but it was a fun day none the less.
  23. Thanks for the kind words guys. Hey MSP, maybe soon you'll have a spot named after you in that lake.
  24. Those are some quality eyes! Great job and good luck on the lakers.
  25. Nice trout!
