  1. Matthews Tavares Kadri down the middle isn't a bad problem to have. The Leafs think they can fill the defensive void internally with players they are developing in the AHL. Also there was not a big UFA defensive defenseman on the table July 1st. A Babcock quote from 2015 on the day he was hired: "Once we make it safe, they’re coming home. Mark my words, they’ll be coming.” - Speaking about Ontario born players.
  2. Great Report Mike. Solid start to the bass season.
  3. Live Vu and Live Scope look amazing. Garmin is on the forefront of sonar innovation that for sure.
  4. I had this issue with my Ulterra and used a variation of this method: Been using it for over a year and have never hard a problem. I used a small weed eater recoil for the cable management.
  5. Some beauty fish. Cheers
  6. Awesome report...... thanks for posting. Cheers
  7. I have the 75 (tiller) and it has been great as well for winterizing and starting up in the spring. Although being in a garage all winter I am sure helps. You still need to do the lower end, antifreeze the pumps, etc... but I know what you mean. "Winterizing" which is just fogging, can be done in 2 minutes at the boat ramp on your last trip before winter storage. Very convenient.
  8. Up this way water temps were 53 on a small back lake. 8 Pike 5 OOS smallies and had 2 walleyes on but lost both. No fish was caught deeper than 12' in weedy area's.. Slow moving soft swimbaits were key as the fish were very lethargic.
  9. You’re given more responsibility the harder you work in my experiences which in turn makes you more money. As for Tom Wilson. He plays on the top line with Ovi and has something like 7 points in 9 games this playoffs. He is 6’5 230 hits hard and no one punches him out because he can fight as well. I think there is room in the game for a player like that. As for the hit itself. It’s a 6’5 guy hitting a 6’0 guy north south. You always explode up to try and knock a guy over. Unfortunately with the height difference he blew through the shoulder and caught his chin. At the same time we have a guy running around licking players faces with no consequence. This is today’s NHL.
  10. As mentioned above get a quality reel. A used Shimano is a great was to go. The advantages over a spincast would be better drag, more power, WAY more comfortable to fish with, more accurate and longer casting. Put 50lb braid on it (easier to get out backlashes) and have some fun. The more braking adjustments the reel has the easier it is to tune in... imo. It will take some getting used to but its worth it.
  11. Don't feed the trolls Chris. 1 jump ship "Sens fan" and one "NHL FAN"? They will never understand what being a die hard fan is. Last night was a 1 game winner take all and the boys crap the bed. If Andersen isn't our best player we usually don't do very well. We don't have much of a D core and that was obvious last night... but we knew this going into this season. I am not a Gardiner fan and hes taking a lot of heat for an awful game played... but he owned it and spoke to the media about it... kudos to him. Obviously there is work to do still to compete with the top tier teams in the league. We are only 2 seasons into a rebuild after finishing dead last 3 seasons ago. We will get there. An improved season... GLG
  12. The tone in which you wrote this makes it feel like you enjoy that sort of thing. Easy there Dr. Lecter. Civility and respect? Hahahaha. 99.5% of your posts are no where close to being civil and you have never shown an ounce of respect to anyone who call themselves a Leafs fan. Get off your high horse. Leafs won a game they probably shouldn’t have. Officiating was brutal. Freddie was great. We are still alive. GLG
  13. 10lb on a spinning reel can be used for a lot of different applications. Cheap mono backing on 1/4 to 1/2 of the spool and quality braid like Power Pro tipped with a floro leader will last you a long time. I use this setup on almost all of my rods.
  14. I would think after your team had the worst season since their expansion year that a smart fan would be a little more aware of their surroundings. But he is the ultimate troll. Cant wait to watch some Leaf playoff hockey. Matt I am sure you can sneak into one of those seasons ticket holder town hall meetings Ottawa is holding and complain about the ice being to cold.
  15. Been through the whole array of polarized glasses. Cheap CT Rapalas, and Strike Kings, Oakley's, and now Maui Jim's. For me the difference was night and day even between the Oakley's and Maui's. 0 eye fatigue at all being outside all day.... and also great for driving or anything else. Personally I have matte black Maui Jim Pheai with the glass HCL bronze lenses and they are fantastic. Easy to clean and good for all around sunlight conditions. Also the Maui Warranty is second to none in the sunglasses world. If you can afford quality sunglasses...... get them.
  16. Best way to do it. Took this on fly ins or anytime we needed a transducer on a cached boat. Works like a charm. Screw in cable tie saddles down the piece of wood and use cable ties to manage the transducer cable.
  17. Well he made over $10,000 with a go fund me account to put up the billboards so I guess there are a few people who like what he is doing. If Eugene decides to move the team it won't be because of the billboards... it will because there are not enough "real fans" in the city of Ottawa to support a hockey team... which in my opinion is an absolute disgrace. I am sure you wouldn't meet the guy at the bar though... its probably because the drinks are to expensive, the parking lot is to crowded, there is to much traffic to get there, or you hate the owner of the bar. These are the excuses Sens fans use right? Go Leafs!
  18. Upgrade on Moore..... nothing wrong with having depth down the middle. Probably a rental though. I love that TSN all over the Sens and how much of a tire fire it is there. In all the times over the years where the Leafs have been bad, and the jersey throwing and paper bags and all that......it never got as bad as it is in Ottawa right now. The team sucks, the coach sucks, the GM is a puppet, the owner is a complete goof, the fans don't show up (only 13000 fans at least one game this year), they might trade the best player in the history of the franchise in his prime, and then the fans that do show up are being told what signs they can hold up. Just an absolute toxic environment right now..... and I love it. GLG
  19. OK so an update. I got out into the garage and starting screwing around and testing a few things. It looks like I am sitting at 12.1 volts at the battery when I have every accessory on in the boat. At my fish finder (at 100% brightness) I am reading about 11.6 depending on volume of the Sonic hub. Once I turn everything off except for the fish finder and sonic hub the battery is sitting at 12.3 and the fish finder is reading at about 12 volts. All battery terminal connections were cleaned and re-seated. Is that acceptable drop through the fuse panel? If not I guess I know where the issue is... which is unfortunate because its a nightmare to work.
  20. G, Totally get what you are saying and that’s always what i thought was that the voltage doesn’t change so how do you stop the drop? I checked the boat and I have 10 gauge wire from the panel to the battery at about 6’ max.
  21. Art that makes sense. So if I wire in another battery in parallel do I need a selector switch or can you just wire everything directly. I did a quick drawing of what I think it would like like without a selector ( I can’t draw) Batteries are both 2017 CT AGM deep cycles with similar production dates Also I have a hydrometer but they are sealed AGM batteries. Edit. There is a fuse from the rocker panel as well.
  22. Ok Dan so if I am hearing you right if I have another battery wired in parallel to the house battery it will increase the capacity and therefore the voltage will not drop as much?
  23. I have a load tester and the bettery is fine from that standpoint. The house battery is separate from the starting battery so it is not being charged at all out on the water. Also I am on the trolling motor most of the time anyway. But even after a fresh charge on the house battery if I flip everything on it drops the voltage. The alarm on the HDS doesn’t make a sound but just flashes on corner of the screen. Running them in parallel is tough since the batteries are not in the same hatch but I have thought of trying that. I have done some tests with with a multimeter and the voltage reading on the HDS screen runs true with that I am getting at the battery. Maybe it’s just battery size? Thanks for the replies so far.
