  2. I have been very lucky at buying from e-bay. I have bought several reels such as Steez, Calcuttas and Curados through e-bay. I will only buy them brand new in box(BNIB) Jose
  3. Congrats WTG Now you the true power of a king in open water. Just the shear power, that is the main reason I hit the piers. I just crank the drag on my casting reels and put the boots to them. I refuse to go into the rivers. Jose
  4. Careful Check your reg's, I believe it is closed from the 403 bridge and up.
  5. Hey I would try to buy from here http://www.cabelas.ca Jose

  8. Not bad at all. But I prefer this the Core50MG Jose
  9. Yes, it is good to see the CO out there. I was up in a Conservation area just north of Brampton and the CO was having a field day. He had is MNR truck and his ATV. When I left he was writing up, not one, not two, but three guys for not having a fishing license. The guys did not look happy at all. Jose
  10. Grant Way to go. How I miss your posts on here. What happened to the internet at work, they cut everyone off? Jose
  11. My nine year old woke up this morning and told me that he wanted to catch some of the WGSF (rock bass). So we headed out a little later than usual, the sun was already high, so I was not expecting much action today. After 5 tiny WGSF or so he got a little bored and said that he wanted to catch some bass. 3 lb on the digital scale 2.5 lb He still out fished me, I guess I should listen to him more often Jose
  12. Here is our report, we managed a couple. I was skunked but not my boys. First of the day (worm, wacky style) Second (red/black, spinnerbait) It was a very busy day out there Jose
  13. Cabela's has some of them on sale now. Long link to it. Great for the salmon pier guys. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...&hasJS=true
  14. Fan of both Daiwa and Shimano (higher end models only) Currently I have Calais 200DC and a Anatres (Calais100) I also have a Daiwa Steez. The Calais are the smoothest reels out there on the market IMO. Even the Steez does not compare to it. Great thing about the Steez is its weight. I would like to get the Shimano Core or the Aldebaran with the light weight of a Daiwa Steez and the smoothness of a Calais. Jose

  22. Yep I grew up using spinning gear exclusively. But now I have a Steez, Calais 100 and an Calais 200DC, I have not touched a spinning reel. Hey CLofchik I' ll take you up on the friendly side by side casting competition. Jose
