  1. GBW I have a similar setup on my Subaru Legacy 2005, 205/55/16 for my all season. Winter tires are 195/65/15, put the car up and do a trial fit to make sure the rims clear any calpiers etc etc. I have run these several years and no problems whatsoever. To get thr tire height of the OEM 205/55/16 (205 x 55%) = 112.75mm (sidewall height) (112.75 x 2) = 225.5 mm (sidewall height x 2) Change to inches (225.5/25.4) = 8.87 in 8.87" + 16" = 24.877 in 24.87 in is youtr tire height Jose
  2. Dan This summer I watched a flock of them flying across the Credit River mouth for 10 minutes straight. From the first to the last one, had to be more than 400 of them.
  3. Ditto
  4. From the flyer: "All trade ins are donated to local youth organizations to help with their outdoor educational programs" Jose
  5. Here you go guys, this was from there add. last year. Last time I took advantage of the sale, there was a table with entry level spincast reels you can buy. I think it was 5 or 10 dollars, buy them and trade them in for a credit note on your new reels. Not sure if they have the spincast reel table this year or not. Jose
  6. Mark All my rods are St. Croix models, I usually stick with the Avids series of rods. I wanted to see where the Mojo line would fit. I will get a couple of rods for the upcoming season and I was thinking about getting a couple of the Legend Tournaments rods. Jose
  7. Mark Have you fished with these models and if you have where would you rate them? Above the Premier line? Thanks Jose
  8. Bill There are not too many choices for a casting rod for steelhead. THe St. Croix Avid I got was 230 from Steve, I am not sure if they brought more in or not. I checked out the Raven 11 ft Specialist and it was a much heavier rod (IM6 blank $160 range) than the Avid. I take it that you are going to use the Calais on it? It should be a nice combo, but I use my Steez on mine. It is so light I can fish all day with it and the freespool is just amazing. Call JB to see what they have. Jose
  9. Steve even had to barter with St. Croix for my Avid 10 1/2 ft casting rod for me. Seems that one of their pros wanted several rods he had LOL. The following week he called me and charge me cost for it. How is that for service? Jose
  10. Wild Thanks for the heads up. I have got to call Steve on Monday to see what they have in stock. Jose
  11. Never go back is correct, I refuse to pick up a spinning combo. But I do use a Daiwa Steez and Shimano Calais.

  18. We decided to enjoy the great and unusual October Monday at Island Lake in Orangeville. Check out my 8 year old with his new PB largemouth. 3 lbs on the digital scale Love the wacky style fishing. Casted out on my 103HA Steez and Avid rod, watch the line go sideways and handed the rod to my son. We were using circle hooks and told him that you do not have to set the hook just start reeling in. The results after a couple minute fight and some great jumps: Jose
  19. Oh yea Just look at what just came in. Putting it up against my Calais, Steez, Conquest 200DC this weekend and see how it does. Using wacky worms, crankbaits amd spiinerbaits. Maybe I can still get a salmon off the rocks this year, throwing spoons. Jose
  20. My 2 cents The Abu's are very touchy on their braking system. I recently had and sold a Abu Premier (top of the line) I could not get used to the braking system. Soft platiscs and the wacky worm did it in. For heavier wieght it work well., spinnerbaits etc etc. I have a Curado E5 coming I have heard good things about them. http://www.tackletour.net/TTForums Check out this forum, lots of good info. Jose

  25. WTG Patrick They sure can test your reels drag. Jose
