If you want to learn how to be successful everytime you go out using the vex I suggest you hire Steve Robotham for a day on the ice. Money well spent. He knows his lake trout. Fun stuff. Just my $0.02

That is funny stuff. I don't agree but it is funny.

A MUST READ Al Lindner on Facts of Fishing
Cudz replied to Dave Mercer's topic in General Discussion
I would like to see that one. It will be called "Catching Walleye on Simcoe (not by accident)" -
I am not a snow scrooge. I actually don't mind it. I have blown the driveway 5 times in the past 3 days and it is looking to be done again. 7:25 and snowplow went by again. 4th time since 445. Couldn't get one for 2 days and now 4 in the past 3 hours. love it. too funny.

OK that is enough snow for all winter already. Amazing what a short drive north of Toronto will bring you. I live on a hill and cars have a hard time getting up all the time. Even the snowplow was spinning past my house. He had to reverse and take a run at it while lifting the blade. I guess that is what happens when you DON'T PLOW MY ROAD FOR OVER 2 DAYS. I don't live on a main road but it is fairly busy. I guess paying almost $5000 in property tax only allows the road to be cleaned every 60 hours or so. You should have seen the 4ft wall he put up at the end of my driveway. OK done my rant. Having said that, the first plow went by at about 445 today and another just wernt by 6:25 (no plows for 60 hours and 2 in the past 2 hours lol). I also shot some pretty funny video of a 2010 ford pickup who could not make it up the street yesterday. I thought it was a 4x4 but it was not. Best part in the video is when the kid jumps out and tries to put cardboard under the tires for traction. Problem was he was putting them on the front tires (he finally figured out it was rwd on account that the back wheels were spinning.) lol. SHot some other vid of snowplow spinning but he had already lifted the blade and was moving fine. PS it is now 6:30 and a third snow plow just went by.

I too have the Eskimo kingfisher 3. I got it about a month ago at costco barrie for $164. Hopefully it works well. Went back on Monday evening but they had no more. Jer, what did you think of the shelter? WHat worked, what didn't? Thanks

It always scares me a bit when gsp fights. Ever since he got caught by matt sera. 2 things happened after he got caught. 1. He became less exciting to watch (never puts himself in a vulnerable position and doesn't take chances and rarely exchanges). 2. He doesn't lose. He is a better wrestler than the wrestlers out there and he has found a fomula to win. I however never doubt his preparation, ability, heart, and focus. He is a true athlete.

Dark room with low light or if you are a gamer or if you watch lots of sports, go with plasma. Refresh rate is 600 hz compared with 240 or 120 in the led or lcd. Lots of natural light I would go with a 240 hz lcd or led. Looks like things are going the led way these days. I would spend the extra money to get at least 120 hz. Makes a big difference. I can't stand watching blurry pucks and players while watching hockey games.

No comment Bill. lol. (I might have laughed too) Nice fish.

The girl is a sharpshooter but whe is not 19, not canadian and did not shoot a guy planting a raodside bomb. She is 23 and is in the US air force. Read this article. http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/b/Polly-Jan-Bobseine.htm PS she looks better with the gun against her face.

Everyday I pass 3 small lakes on my way to work. All three were at the same stage monday. Little lake Barrie, Orr lake and Little Lake Midland all had a thin layer of ice covering 2/3 of them but by Tuesday aft there was no ice on any of them.

I almost expected that. too bad

Lol. Not on this day. There was only 1 boat out there and it was us. Lots of those arctic loons still around. We figured it was the loonies hanging out with the loons. PS sorry about the blurry pics, my camera is not good at all

I will try and get there.

Managed to get out one last time before putting the boat away for the winter. I was joined by Jigger who made the northern trek despite the nasty forecast. We got out there and got soaked by big chop coming over the bow. THe wind was ridiculous and blowing the wrong direction. We tried drop shotting with slammers but we were moving so fast it was hard to keep contact with our bait. Finally decided to drag some new strikezone swimbaits curtosy of Mark Kulik and we actually managed 3 on the new baits. I had the trolling motor on the whole time just to try and slow us down a bit and it ran out of juice after being on for 4 hours straight. Bad day out on the lake always beats a good day at work. Thank God for survival suits!!! Here is what we were dealing with First bass in swimbait (still in mouth) Jigger with nice Another clean fish

THere are lots of good walleye in Alberta. You are rarely allowed to keep any. I guess that is why they have a great walleye fishery all over the provice.

I have fished there a few times. Not right in Edmonton but about 1-2 hours north. You can fish waubman or pigeon lake which are closer to Edmonton and offer decent fishing. Most lakes in and around the city are a bit shallow. The North saskatchewan holds decent fish but it is very seasonal and access can be difficult. I really can't help you but there is a good fishing shop called the fishin hole and I believe it is in the west end. I am sure they can help you out.

I don't mind paying. If it means more COs and suppoeting MNR I don't mind paying. I am not going to lie. If they charged $500 per year I would still pay.
