  5. Just got my Trombly's sale flyer. Decent deals. Might be worth a look.
  6. Cool offer. thanks
  7. Straight shipping fee. No broker fees it was USPS regular postal service. From Northern Bass shipping rates to Canada $0.01 - $25.00 = $16.95 $25.00 - $49.99 = $18.95 Too bad my 2 lures cost $25.98
  8. No Duty. I have never been charged duty on lures under $40
  9. I bought 2 lures Northern Bass in the states and had them shipped here. I asked for the cheapest postal rate. When I checked out the total for my purchases was $25.99. They sent a confirmation email with the total befor shipping. When I received the package I had been charged $18.95 for shipping!!!!! That was the first time I had been informed of the shipping cost. My 2 lures cost over $44.00. I am used to ordering lures from another guy in the states and his charges are always $3.99 (they used to be $3.50) and they arrive just a s fast. Anyway I talked to the owner and informed him that I was not happy with the shipping costs. He did offer to refund me $7 but I have just decided to take my business elsewhere. Live and learn. I am done venting
  10. cool bananas
  11. My condolences.
  12. fair enough.
  13. That"s a good fish!
  14. By the way, I have 2 abu garcia 5000 series reels and they are good. They cast well and they are strong but a bit heavy. Not something you want to be using making hundreds of casts for 6 hours at a time.
  15. 2 piece casting rods generally are poorer quality. I wouldn't do it. Go with a 7' mh 1 piece. I have a few 7'6 rods but they are one piece with a telescopic bottom section. Those rods are usually heavy action rods used for pitchin/flippin and froggin. Your lack of casting distance isn't 100% because of your rod length. There are many other factors but mostly experience. I have been using baitcaster for about 25 years now and I still don't try to throw baits less than a 1/4 oz and I definately don't throw less than 1/4 oz into the wind. I have a few casting 6'6 rods but I prefer 7' m or mh.
  16. True. But, for best results, use one of Geoff's kids' buckets.
  17. That is not from Barrie. This one is though. THE DIRTY SANCHEZ seen on the 400 leaving Barrie. Had to snap a pic.
  18. Take the flyer to walmart and they will price match. done. easy.
  19. THe plan is to actually go acoustic during the hour. I guess to make up for all the power they were using just before the hour. lol. Having said that, I would consider this area right of center on the political spectrum so it is possible we may just get a huge light show during earth hour
  20. I am not doing anything specual. Probably watch the game on tv, fights on the internet.
  21. hmm. I have an 18' fiberglass boat with a sterndrive and I run a 55# 12v pd kota and It moves it fine. I can't complain. I have nothing to compare it to but I have not had any issues with it and I haven't ever thought that it wasn't strong enough. If ou can get the 55# rather than the 45# it might be better. ANything bigger than 55 and you need 24v.
  22. Di d you get them sent to Canada? If so, how much was shipping. Just want to know sio I am not in shock when I get the bill.
  23. Talked to a buddy of mine who works for and is sponsored by live target and he told me the retail price of the frog should be $9.99 so that $10.99 deal must be regular ctc price.
  24. Nice. The suffix line saving is pretty funny because walmart sells the 832 for $19.99 so it is 40% off the ctc price, not the price everywhere else. By the way walmart will pricematch anything as well so you cn just take in the flyer and get the line there too.
