  1. Great to see good things happen to a good person! Enjoy.
  2. That the reason I wear a pair of cheap weightlifters gloves that I got at Wal Mart (about 8 bucks) -- fingers are free but good protection around the plam and wrists. Not so much afraid of the cut or embedded hooks -- been there for both .... but I would hate a really bad cut to curtial my musky fishing when I am on vacation for 2 weeks at a time.
  3. Gerritt, That should give you many years of fishing pleasure - congrats, my friend!
  4. Gerritt/Sawyer, Thanks for thinking of me. Luckily for me another manager has had the brunt of this outbreak -- I've just had to pick up a little extra work to make up for it ...got out of work a 7:45PM yesterday .... 13 hour day in long enough though. Again - thanks and best to both of you.
  5. Of course Michaels Moore's exaggerates -- what movie form the US and most other places is not an exaggeration -- but he does it to make a point - that being the richest country in the world leaves out 40 million of it citizens from decent medical care -- and that is inexcusable for a developed country. Got nothng about being a "commie" or anything else - has to do with doing what's best for the people as a whole ... has to do with building a better, more compassionate society .. not just for those who have the $. The Canadian system is far from perfect, but trust me when I say, what most Americans here about the Canadian system is filtered by US special interest groups that have lots of $ to protect. My 2 cents.
  6. Wayne, Very disturbing when you spend that type of money and get that type of workmanship -- Lund should be making good and then some -- let us know how you make out. In the end though, how many people would dig like you have to see how they are really put together -- precious few .... so I suspect Lund will only make good on those who do the digging. Stuff like this really ticks me --even when you spend top buck for the best, there is no guarantee you are getting it ... I know in the end they will do right by you, but why the hell should you even have to go through the aggravation. Take care, - Mark
  7. Not one bad esperience thus far (76 transactions). As others indicate, look at the sellers/buyers ratings.
  8. Thanks for all the tips -- appreciated.
  9. Congrats -- they are great boats.
  10. Lew, Have to agree -- lost 2 great uncles in WW1. The horrors all the soldiers suffered over there are hard to comprehend. Most died of infectious disease vs bulllets ... not sure which is worse. My grandfathers both served there as well. One lost his twin brother, the other lost his brother. My grandmother said that until the day he died he would occasionally relive those days in his sleep and wake up yelling about pulling the cannons with the horses. Anyway -- most of us are from a generation that never had to participate in that hell -- thank God for that. Best to all this Easter.
  11. Hi Guys/Gals, I am looking for a new suite to keep the computer protected. I have been using Norton for the last several years but I find their renewal process such an annoying grind that I refuse to use them any more. So -- anyone got any suggestions. According to Consumer Reports, Bit Defender is supposed to be pretty good. Feedback welcome -- thanks ahead of time. Mark
  12. Next motor for me will be an E-tec
  13. Excellent rods
  14. Mo, I owned 2 Chryslers and never again ... nothing but trouble. Better off with an older Japanese car.
  15. Looks great, Ron.
  16. Lew, Sorry to hear the news. Please give Sheri my best.
  17. My guess thermostat - certainly worth trying first because it is cheap.
  18. Just wanted to publicly thank all those who responded to this post -- again a demonstration of why OFC is the PREMIER site!!
  19. Goran/John/Misfish, I'll get an electronic version and email it to you -- thanks for taking the time. Mark
  20. Wayne, His expertise is in stamping and dies - not much in injection moulding. Very much appreciate your kind offer though. Mark
  21. Hi, A very dear friend of mine's husband is a tool and die maker with 30 years experience. He recently lost his job because the company packed it in. He is now looking for work. He lives in the Mississauga area. If anyone knows of any T and D jobs that are available, please send me an email. I have his resume and it is quite impressive. I would not normally post something like this, but this guy would be an asset to any company. Email = [email protected] Thanks to all for any assistance, Mark
  22. Pam, Doug knows what he speaks of --good advice. If it happens to be Norovirus, it is quite contagious -- not meaning to be pessimistic, but you'll be lucky to escape it. Wash your hands a lot ... that means 15 seconds friction with soap and warm water... hubby too. Use paper towels to dry hands and then use the same paper towels to turn off the taps - not your bare hands. Good luck! Mark B. Communicable Disease Control Toronto Public Health
