I totally agree with you FishLogic. One thing I will say about walmart, hunting and fishing stuff,is when the season ends,weather hunting or fishing,it goes cheap. I bought 5 orange hunters vests for 2 bucks a piece,also 5 pairs of light hunting gloves for 3 bucks. From the asking price to the reduce price,I saved over 50+ bucks. Say what you want about them,I win. BOTTOM LINE.

Just twitch that bait.Dont jig it. Also keep constant pressure when reeling up the perch. Oh and crappie like them too.

I should also add,I pinch the barb. This allows for just dropping the fish on the ice,hook pops out,and back down the bug goes,no handeling of the fish.

I never use yarn. Just wrap with the thread over the copper til you have a good base,then do your wrap with the red thread.

Nice attempt. Ron makes them aswell,and does a great job. I made them years ago. Practice makes perfect. Mine,I wrapped the shank of the hook with copper wire,then wrapped with tread. When finished,I just dipped in a epoxy mixture,or you can go with crazy glue. I find the crazy glue is tacky,even after it,s been cured.
