Plans for a couple of us to hit the hard water was planned for today,but things happen,so it was a solo trip.Get to the lake and no ones there,guess when you arrive at 5:30am,it,sd to be expected. Getting back into my keaner ways.LOL Short drag out with the hut,set up and wait for the bite. It started to get busy around 7ish. Sleepers I guess.LOL Any ways,managed only one wee tiny eye (which was released to grow) for my 6 hour outing. I poped abunch of hole to make up for not getting the use out of my gas auger last season.Sure glad I brought it as the ice was pretty much 11-12 inches. Didnt matter though,the weather was perfect and even got a bit of a sun burn on the face. I do though,need to look into getting a machine. Thanks Mike Roughly about an inch and a half. Hands down,they are my favorite ice jig for walleye. Was going through the online cataloge and found a mold,but it dosent say what size they are,just the weight. Going to give them a call later today.

Great report bud. Are you running P line hydra float as your main? With the temps down yoUr way,I,m sure it,s ok,but up here,when it,s -8 or more,Im changing to a mono main. You know the banana shaped jig. For some reason I can find their new style,but it,s not what I want. I cant even find it on thier site. It,s like 2 inches long and banana shaped. If anyone knows where to buy or of a mold out there,I would be thankful. B.

If you can cover costs of repairs of the smoker when need be,then pull the trigger. But think first. IMO, The Prince craft is the/your best bet. Dont forget,you are not the only one using it. catch some perch and slice the gullet out. Slice into maggot size peices.Put on a tear drop and tip it with the gullet peice.Works here,just fine.
