We had the grand daughter over for the weekend. She is pretty excited about going back to school and I do not blame her . Missing her friends . Both father and us have talked to her about the issues she may come across. She is a pretty smart cookie and kinda has the inherited firm manor. She has no problem speaking up and telling someone to get away from her if she feels uncomfortable. She is very aware of the seriousness of this . Kids need to go to school and learn. I find it,s the teachers being the biggest problem here. Yes I get the wanting smaller classes, but they need to except like the rest of the world, this virus is here for a long haul. Learn to manage it . Many may think I am wrong, but I have learned to keep my distance, wear a mask in close quarters , as much as I hate it, but I have excepted this is the new world we live in for now .

When I started to get into the steelhead, it was the black Cardinal 3 that was the new must have. Guess I am not as old as you my friend. I had one old green 3. I bought it at a garage sale for $1. It was in a box of junk . I sold it months later for $350. Good luck getting that now.

I use mine casting for salmon and steelhead.

I have found a knot that I can tie easy now. It,s not really a nail knot, but more like a snell. It is easy and works just as well. Brian from Mad River outfitters on youtube showed this. This guy just opened a beauty of a fly shop. All during the Covid . What a shop. Wish there was one like that around close by.

Seen a couple of guys doing it in 105 fow last weekend Bill. I was marking bait balls down 30-45 fow. Marked many fish driving up and down in them. Even seen some fish breaking the surface. Yup, smallies. Seen them land a few. I tried with no luck .
