  1. We talked about this this morning. It,s very true. You dont just cruise by with a trolling motor buzzing and keep fishing. You work the area a lot more and pic it apart. We can do a full 360 with a wave of a flipper, and cast in all directions. Thats the cool part. Fan casting 360. Shallow and deep.
  2. That,s a hefty there bye. Nice going on the solo.
  3. Both pontoon boats that Terry and I own needed more blow,so I told him about the 2.2 air head that wally world had. I had seen it there yesterday, but himmmed and huddded. Told him about it this morning and he wanted it. So after our morning of slow fishing and I mean slow,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, We fished some prime waters today, even rigged a bit. Terry has a picture of my 13.5 perch. Thought it was a small bass that smacked my 4" yum tube. WOW Back to my story So I go to wally world and it,s GONE,someone bought it. Oh no what to do? Head over to Cabelas and lo and behold, they got them. Great, well not so great. They are 10 bux more. So I take it up to the front desk and ask if they price match. We sure do sir. I hate when they say sir. I say to the lady, wally world has them for sale at 39 bux but have no way to prove it. She went on line and couldnt find them. She called the south end store and as always,no one can help. I tell her I can go back and take a pic of the price. She starts typing on the key pad and sayssssssssssssss That will be $43.76 sir. We dont want to lose a customer over 10 bux. That people, is service, and I had a smile. Oh I,ll be back. it,s in my back yard for cripes sake.
  4. Got to use my under water contraption for my XP50. Not bad for a first time. Need a longer pole.
  5. We fish simcoe. No problem. I like the free coaster ride.
  6. Nope,I have a good buddy that has the one up model and fishes with me a ton. Like Dave said Bernie. I would sooner fish the rivers and creeks with this then my other tube. I still love the tube. I thought I had a buyer, just waiting to hear back. If not,Im reconcidering and going to keep it. This model,I am able to still flipper my way around and also have the oars to use. I have lost almost 13 pounds this year so far from all the fishing I have been doing in the tube. This will only help more.
  7. Thats alot of cat. Nice Bernie.
  8. Those will do. Good luck.
  9. Well let me tell ya a story here. LOL I have had boats of many types. Tinnys (4 of them) Last one being a 14 ft deep sylvan that I had all rigged out for bass fishing and down rigg,n. Owned Ranger Bass boat for 4 yrs and a Bayliner cuddy for two.. I had a truck to tow and spot to keep all these boats at one time. The bayliner I was paying alot to keep it stored. I had to pay cuz we moved into a condo 6 years ago. I have thought of getting a sports pal or a yak,but no place to keep it. These float about boats/tubes deflate and can be packed away in a corner pretty much. Both my float tube and my new to me pontoon, fit in the back seat of my Dodge Avenger. My trunk is a traveling tackle box. I can hit anyone spot and fish any fish. Well almost. I need to add musky gear.LOL I can leave any given morning,go for a drive and come upon a fishing hole. Stop, pull out the rig, blow it up, grab a couple of rods, a plano box that has baits that will work for this spot, and bobs your uncle. Both rigs I can have set up and in the water in 15 minutes. 12volt pump makes it that fast. The best part of the whole experience of being on the water with these,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Words cant explain it. You just have to get out there in them and experience it for yourself. May not be for eveyone, but they work for me, and I have a blast fishing from them. Hope that helps with your question.
  10. Insert float tube and it,s perfect. I love those sights. NICE
  11. I lost a real good friend years back. . His lose. Ya it was over Bull, I walked away and never gave it a second thought. Life,s to short.
  12. Yup Casting small flutter spoons and letting them drop, then jerking them and repeating has done me well.
  13. Man would I ever love to have one of them. They are so sweet looking and soooooooooo fast. BUT I know that aint going to happen SO I went with this little gem. Step up from the tube, and my feet will be a lot warmer during the early spring fishing and those late fall ones. Now to start re rigging this one. Thanks for the great deal Nipfisher. BTW My parents thought you were a very nice North Bay boy.
  14. I didnt share this event that happen on the weekend as both the mrs,s and I, have been just trying to get my son and little girl Lilly,s life back to normal. Well, as best as we can for now They do have a new place to stay as of this weekend. Thats a blessing. Get back to a routine. The support they have gotten is unreal. The local bussiness,s really stepped up. With all that was going on,I never knew about what he did during the fire, til I read this today.. We didnt get the call til the fire trucks arrived. I guess I did some good in bring him up. Proud of my son. Barker and others also recognized the reaction of resident Corey Blowes, who flew from door to door knocking to let all the residents know to evacuate the building during the fire. As dozens of people applauded his efforts, he and his partner, Ashley, sat quietly blushing. After the meeting broke up, Blowes said once he got Ashley and his three-year-old daughter, Lily, to safety, he ran up and down the smoke-filled halls banging on doors. “I'm just glad I was able to help,” he said. As their apartment was next door to the unit that initially caught fire, Blowes and his family will be moved to another apartment somewhere in Barrie. “We're a little confused, a little stressed, but also a little relieved. It's been a long couple of days,” he said. The story http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/2014/07/15/residents-of-barrie-apartment-fire-may-be-out-of-their-homes-for-weeks Thursday, both of them will be at my work where they have gathered a crap load of clothing and toys for them.

  18. I know why you bought that one Terrance. It,s black and white,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, RIP X85 you served him well.
  19. Thats a sweet hog Mike. Nice report Whats that growth on yer face? LOL
  20. Looks like i,ll have to buy a couple of those baits and compare.
  21. You would be half right.. Do tell the difference Both catch largies and smallies. I prefer the booya.
  22. HUGE CAT FISH Thats crazy.
  23. NAY NAY NAY I SAY I have used the same 12 I have over the last threes years, and I fish them a lot. Thats why I say,BOOYA BABY, when I get those fish on. .
  24. Seems many are not happy with the fishing dept. I did talk to one person asking them if they knew what fish were targeted in the area. His reply was not really. OOPS I had mentioned that there are many who rig for salmon and trout on GB and lakers on Simcoe. This area ,your store is very under stocked. You do have lots of baits for walleye and bass and Musky, but as for pan fish,I see you have missed the mark as well. Like Kicking Frog said during our visit,,they will figure it out. The local tackle store carries what the locals want here, and his pricing is at par or better.. BONUS I find the fishing dept is a carry over of what the state side would use. This is JMO. As far as the hunting section goes. They nailed it.
  25. BINGO Although I dont use it a lot Lew,it does work. I tie direct with a palomar knot. Sometimes it slides around, but I can live with it. All my spinner baits are open not loop eyes.
