I think in my reports I give enough. Not sure what more anyone wants from a report.
I give baits used and how(hell even show the baits in thier yaps most of the time), and the type of structure.
Sure there is probly more info I could give, but I learned from learning and watching the area around me.
I think a report on the water is plenty good enough as far as I am concern. Yes I fish with probly the same two, three people from this board, but Im comfortable with that.
Like I have said before,I SHARE THE GOOD STUFF VIA PM. If I were to see a report about something I passed on,that would be the end of that.
Someone said it,s the WWW. That is your answer from me.
Enjoy what the site offers,or not.
Interesting theroy.
I am still a newby doing the prefish thing. I always found when I prefished, it was good to land a couple of fish just to see what was in the area.
Then I prefished with a few others with many years experience, and they did the turn hook thing, and just brought the fish to the surface or close too, to see what was there ,without stinging the fish.I use both methods depending on the area I am fishing. I did find doing the turned hooked on docks and floating swim platforms, did serve me better, and the ones in the deeper waters,it did not bother them.
If your not familer with an area,I would say what Steve did was correct. Then again if you know the area and know fish are there or should be there, then a turned hooked is the way to go.
I was also told that a bucket once stuck, will hit later i the days then a smallie.
I am just speaking from my min of experience.
was following you and the boys.
It seems the Barrie club along with the rest of the Canadian teams did very well.
Great job by all the Barrie boys.
Maybe I,ll get a chance at this great tourny.
Very nice Garry.
I like the shades on the hat. Looking like a real pro there Nat.
Would that be a Zeb 303 on that rod?
Zeb makes one of the best closed face reels. Well I am partial to the Johnson, they do cast far.LOL
LOL
Back a few years,I had a friend ask why I was getting so many on Simcoe, and he was getting nada.
I went out with him one day ,and he was using braid on his down riggers. I know he said without, but everytime he had a knock off,he lost the fish at the hit.
The rod would rip the lure right out of thier mouth.
