Have a cure that can keep eggs in the freezer for years and they never freeze and they do catch fish. My boy is the proof. I am out of my stock as I have not fished the rivers for a few years now. He was hitting me up for more,so I guess I need to get off my butt and get me a hen. Atleast the fish I will take I can eat up here.LOL Oh,if your into using single eggs,you can boil them til white. Let sit in a small baby jar(I,ll be able to get some of them now ) with cod liver oil and annise. Great for the late fall bows and browns.

Still trying new rods out,but I have found the following. I like the 6.6 for a spinner bait.Diawa X7 Rod. The reason is for the quick action on the hookset (This rod is stiff and no give). Also I have gone with a braid for this(use to use 14-17 mono/floro) as there seems to be no hookset required when a bass hits the bait. I do give it a bit of a set after the hit,the braid seems to do the job on it,s own though. If Im draging or doing a drop,I have become comfortable with a 7.6-8 ft rod,with a quick action tip,but good back bone.

I believe the lake is going through a change,it may have something to do with the carp die off. Thats JMO. When Terry and I were out last weekend and during a tourny the weekend before,the water seem to be very cloudy (never seen it that way before). The fish are there,you just have to adapt and change your approuch to them IMO.

Now you know why I net or crane my own fish in Bro. Glad to hear you boys had fun. I caught some of them green fish too,but thats a different story.LOL

I would not recommend the ugly stick myself. I would go with a grafite comp before going with a fibraglass rod. Med to med heavy,something with good back bone,quick tip action. Also make it a baitcast model.

During the fishing season,leaving it on the transom saver, it,s not a big deal. When you winterize (properly),leaving it on the saver is not bad either,but it,s to each it,s own. It wont make a dif Riz.

Hey Don,there were alot of boats out there on Monday. Didnt see to much in the way of bent rods,except for the ones attached to the riggers.LOL Congrats on the laker. I have always done the 20-30 pull out there.
