  1. Go with the 50" Panasonic Viera plasma, I have had it for a year now and absolutley love it. It comes with the ATSC tuner built in and then you can hook up to the antenna and get a lot of HD channels for free, depending on where you live. Plasma has made remarkable advances, so it is not like it was 5 years ago with short life span, burn in and pixel problems. Don't buy the cables they will try to sell you, that is where they make their money. Go to this site: Monoprice they will out beat anyone and the cables and mounting brackets are dirt cheap! Good luck! Rob

    UFC 89

Next weekend will be good Patrick is hopefully going to beat Anderson Silva. But man that guy can really lay a beating! Leben, Vera, Stout!
  3. Well I guess I am doing pretty good then. I have very good luck out there this year with the whities, lakers and perch. The perch fishing this fall is amazing. I did notice though, that the perch were gorging on crawfish that were about 1/2" to 1" in length. Give it a week and it will be really hot out there, for action that is! Rob C
  4. That wouldn't have happened in the UFC! Rob C
  5. Read here JB: DON'T EAT THE FISH! I'm sure you won't eat those whities anymore. Look at page 72 of 90. Then read the introduction to the guide. I was completely blown away after reading that guide. Same with the lake trout although not as bad. Rob C
  6. Nice work there Brian!! A turkey shootin a turkey, who'd a thunk it! Now go get another ticket and get one more and then you'll be ready for fishin in two weeks! Rob

    UFC 83

Well let's hear em. With ten to 1 odds my money is saying Serra (just cause I like to take risks!). But my heart and my guts are saying Georges St.Pierre. Franklin should win this one against Lutter Would like to see McCarthy beat Bisping Nate Quarry should be Kalib Starnes Let's hope our other Canadian Jason MacDonald can do us proud as well. Rob
  8. Here is another great place to get HDMI and optical cables really cheap. http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp I just bought a Panasonic 50" plasma and I love it. I also built my own HD antenna and get free High Def channels as well. You will love watching Nascar in HD. Do lots of reading on digitalhome and you will happy you did when your ready to purchase. Rob C
  9. Well I thought maybe you went to the Daytona and got all drunk and started hanging out with Jeff Gordon or somethin like that. Good to see you back on here Brian, still waiting for you to stop by and have that beer (or more!). Stop in and when the spring fishin starts up and you're not too busy with work we'll head out. I'm always lookin for someone to go whitie fishin with me! Rob
  10. I was there last September. Had a great time, I took my own boat and did not use a guide. The two guides that were there are pretty good guys. They took out a few people for pike fishing and did very well. I did ask them for some general ideas for fishing spots they gave me some very vague locations like over there around the bend. I can't blame them as that is their livelyhood. I did manage to find fish pretty easily and did hook up with some trout and smallies. Overall nice lodge great food ( the owner is a chef) and very good fishing. I do plan to go back there, but not sure if I will go in the spring or the fall. Hope you get the job, let me know how you do! Rob C
  11. A great loss for for the Canadian music industry. Look forward to his new album next month. He will be missed.
  12. Well that read was something else! I am sure one day we'll be reading your reports in a fishing magazine. Great pictures and video to boot! Well done and hope to see more in the future. Rob C
  13. Well I thought George had gone to knee surgury heaven!! Good to see him back out there and about (and catching fish!) Nice report iceguy! Rob C

  15. Nice work there boys! Looks like you all had a great time. Rob C
  16. First thing I would do is remove the motor and get the boat's back end as far back on the trailer as possible. Then set the back end of the boat on large wooden blocks. Raise the front of the trailer with the boat detached from the winch. Have your buddy hold the boat in position on the blocks while you pull the trailer forward. Once you get the trailer forward enough the weight will shift to the back and rest on the blocks more and then you can hook it up to your atv or vehicle and pull the rest of the trailer out and set another block under the front of the boat. I did this to mine and it is a 15' aluminum as well. Some points: keep the boat as low to the ground as possible and make sure the ground is level. Rob C
  17. That's ok Mark, because it was an excellent episode that I did not see before! Keep up the great work! Rob c
  18. Hopefully there is no lead paint in them either! Rob C
  19. Oh WTG now you are going to have to change the colour of your boat to match that coat! Hey do you go out ice fishing anymore? Stop by and have a beer and we'll talk about fishin that hole off the 7th! Rob C
  20. I live in Oro Station. I grew up in the Barrie area (Innisfil) and lived in Barrie for a couple of years. It was nice being close the ammenities of Barrie, but still desired the country living. Been in Oro for 16 years now and love it. I am five minutes from the boat launch, 1/2 hour to muskoka area and 45 mins to work (Newmarket). I would like to work in Barrie-Orilia area but love the place I'm at. Oro is a great area to live as well as the Twshps of Springwater, Essa and Tiny. Barrie is like the others have said, very busy, but living here in Oro, I can go to Orillia as it has pretty much the same stores as Barrie without all the crazy congestion. Rob C
  21. Eh Channel Eh? I think that you should call them up Brian! You would make an excellent rep for the OFC BTW, are you goin ice fishin soon? Rob C
  22. Geez and I thought teachers had it made Enjoy the holidays Terry! And work hard there Brian! With all that extra dough you'll be able to buy another boat for downrigging again! Have a great Christmas guys, Rob
  23. Hey Kerry, If Jacob is out of commish, then I would think that the others won't be far behind. As he supplies most of them with the bait Rob
  24. Brings a whole new meaning to the name "toilet trout" Rob C
