I think we need a good rain. Cause not many are around as of yet. The smell of fresh rain should stir them up more. dsn I can't wait to hit the island. The carp there are more plentiful and fatter and bigger!! But the water temps are warmer in the city than the island last time I checked.

Victoria day is coming lets tie some fireworks to there homes and nesting grounds and light them up like a christmas tree.

I'd make the best of it, and go with an ultra light rod and reel. Make the best of what you dislike and enjoy it, soon you get to enjoy it too much and thats when things change. Ever notice that? its weird.

No Frills Grocery store sell them. They changed the name of it "Canadian Mulet." On the label. And people buy them. They don't sell them exspensive either. Really cheap. So I guess they are editable. dsn

Well I was back out there today from 8am. Saw some feeders around but they never stayed long. Grabbed a mouth full of food and left. Been doing that all day til 10:20am. A carp decided he couldn't hold it anymore. Trumpet sounded by two jumps maybe three. And they all got together for a meeting. The show was over on my part. Thiers just begun. dsn

Feed them bro. Give them some sweets to open up!! Lets hear those funny reports again. The ones I found weren't inhailing the entire rig today. I guess they are just starting up. So a smaller hook and corn ( as much as you can fit ) directly on the hook did the trick. dsn

Well we can't make it through life without any help.

It was slow day for sure but they were there. Some zooming by others searching for my rig. Actually the hari rig didn't work. Cause they weren't feeding agressively. I used the hair rig at the start and just got a quick tug and that was it. The corn was still on my rig. Thats when I went back to the oldfashion corn on a hook method. And it worked. Even saw some messed up pike from the spawn. Sure hope its tail grows back!! Looks like mold had set in already. The pike and carp are both swimming together in most places I saw today. Friends dsn

Do you ever have dreams of your favorite fish? I had a dream recenty that carp where in the areas I fish. And that there is a warm spill coming. I decided to check and see if the carp where in .. and they were!! As for the warm spill well.... . I think I fish carp so much that I'm spiritually connected to them. I was out yesterday just preapring the areas I fish. Then I gave a try..... nothing. Time to do the leg work and hunt them out. Nothing at the island yet either. Water temps have to warm up more in some areas. dsn

When my bro and I fish for monster pike at Lake Dalrymple we bought 12 foot suckers and used a quick strike rig and a monster float. We got 15+ pounders there. The bigger the minnow the bigger the fish.

Nice report as usual. I Like the pic where your holding the steel with one hand and taking the pic with the other. They normal don't behave that well. The fish really stands out!! I guess the fish feels the power of those fingers. It dears not to move or it'll get squashed.

Wow you have carp out there already? I'm still waiting for warmer temps. The water temps here are 45 degrees. Whats the water temp there any Idea? First Carp spotted already in the GTA. Just bathing in the sun!! That day it was 17 degrees so I let him rest before the battle of the season begins.
