I used to use "ultra points" I found that they can hold a sharp point fish after fish. I use them for carp and a smaller size 6 for lakers.

Yep if you listen all the folks , all the time you'll end up missing the miracle, whatever it is. Some times you have to defy all odds and go with what I call (the Holy spirit tells you)a feeling. You get them to drop their tongue everytime. I know cause I go against all the odds about most things and I stand still til it all passes (comments and criticisim) then I move. dsn

yeah they are becoming a pest. Specially when they see something glowing underwater and when they see people, they associate people to food. Last time I was chumming with corn in just under a foot of water.... when the duck saw the yellow glow of corn they started diving for the corn. And when one starts diving the rest of them starts diving. When I saw that my line was moving I yanked on it. Good thing it got lose. Hate to have them dumb ducks swallow a hook. When they swim by I usually hold my line underwater usually thats works pretty well. They never seem to get caught. I truly believe they are getting over popluated most of the places are full of duck droppings (landmines) disgusting dsn

Ahhh this sounds promising. Since I'm also familar with using natural remedies. Thanks!! I think I'll give it try. I'll eat a box of matches. (sulfur only not the wooden part) I hope when it's time to pass gas it doesn't smell like sulfur. No, but seriuously I'll give this a shot. I know natural remedies do work and that it takes time to get it into your system. And since its natural and if there's something wrong when I take it... all I have to do is drink tons of water to flush my system. Unlike prescription stuff. The girl who tried it leaned forward. And her head slightly down so the salt water didn't go down her throat. I tried to see where the saltwater was coming out.. it seemed like it was coming out of her other nostril. But last year my lungs where really messed up so I'm not sure if this would help at all either. Yeah gagging is not good. dsn

Ok I was watching the Opera Show yesterday. They had a Doctor Oz on the show. They where talking about health issues and simple remedies. I find health shows very useful so I watch the entire show. They were talking about allergies and what's the best thing to use. Last year I got hit hard with allergies. I was on reactine from the begining of the season but still it got to the point where reactine didn't work and I have to go the doc for a presciption remedy. Told him I was out among the bushes fishing for carp. LOL He was laughing. Always to make a long story short , they mentioned something called a "neti Pot." I didn't know what it was til a lady from the audience went up to demenstrate how to use the neti pot. Apparently your supposed to use warm water and salt in the neti pot and run the water through one nostril and the salt water comes out the other nostril. The water flushes out pollen and dust particles and also loosens clogged mucus. She flushed the other side of her nostrils and she said she could breathe alot better. Apparently this method was used many years ago and has no side effects. Where if I took a reactine or any anti-histamine I would have to stay out of the heat or I'll get heat stroke. Cause the anti-histamine prevents your body from sweating to cool itself off in the heat. Last year I got dizzy spills too, thats how I found out I wasn't supposed to be in the heat after taking the antihistamine. Yeah there are some that look clean on the outside.... but when you gut them and look on the inside they are infested with the yellow grubs. I found that the larger cats have the infestations or every decease or a diffenerent combinations . I didn't even touch them to release them. long nose pliers. yuck. Might have infected my fishing hooks too.

Yeah there are a few of them in there but these are the worse. dsn

Yeah that was the first thingy that came to my mind. But I saw it coming from a distance slowly as if it was exspecting food. Cause some folks feed them. Just like the other ducks came over and left. If that was the case I would have gladly moved.

Catfish, Carp, Center Island report. Was nice out no wind and calm. The catfish where loaded in the pond and some carp. Even saw 1-2 jumps when the sun broke out a bit this afternoon. I took alot of photos for my ref files. Boy, do I love this camera!! Again the hair rigs didn't seem to work. Below is the biggest ma ma I got, A quick photo and back she went. Here's more.... "MJL rememebr this nasty one? (above) From last year!! Want a closer look? Ok heres the normal fish pics. I swicthed up to Bollies so the catfish might not take it but guess what? This swan came over to check out the strange object sitting beside the pond which was never there before. He or she even decided to step out of the pool and check it out up close and I mean real close. It was like 12 inches from me cause my backpack was in the middle!! She got right up close to me and tried to bite me. I had to put my rod between her and me. Then she attacked my backpack's shoulder strap. I stood my ground and said to it " God gave dominion of the earth to man! So beat it!!" It turned around and slowly started to walk away after a good 2-3 minutes.Then it turned around and wanted to confront me the second time. I took my rod and gave it a push along the way. Boy are those things heavy they don't budge.I wonder how much that thing weighs. Maybe more than me She slowy entered back into the pool and swam away slowly. Couldn't believe how tall it was. Standing on the ground out of the water it reached my chest looking me right in the eye. Like I said wish I had a photographer. It would have been funny. A face to face shot. Well thats the update. Since some folks were thinking of heading out this weekend but not sure what to fish for from the pm's I got with my rencent carp posts. Hey steelcat, I guess I was out fishing the same time as you were. But I started at 7:30am and it was slow. I saw the storm clouds coming. I thought ok, lets see what heaven does. I stood my ground as the wind picked up. The carp started to turn on. I had 3 solid hits and I landed all three. Then the winds get stronger. I look up in the sky and I see that the clouds were directly over me to the left of me under my head. On the other side to my right above my head it was clear and sunny. I though hmmmmm thats interesting. I'm in the middle between the sotrm clouds and the sunny clear sky wonder what would happen? Suddenly drops of rain started coming down over me and it was a clear sky. I said "ooops" I packed my gear and ran.

The big fish moved out today. Only found the small ones that I can lip. Never caught such a small carp in my life ever. I'm used to the 17+.
