Well I noticed an improvement. My refersh rate after a post is alot quicker. Usually it takes 5-10 secs not its like 1-2 secs. So its working!! Good job!! I noticed it yesterday. dsn

I thought about it. But then I thought I can do alot of harm to the fish if it weighs 28+. Because of the weight of the fish grabbing it by the head or even lifting it up from the gill plate could cause damage to the fish. The fish can tear. And I certainly don't want to gaff it cause I don't plan on eating it or killing it. dsn

Open Season? Shoot to kill? Then what? Can't eat to those things. I think its about time to take them out but what do you do with it afterwards? Land fill? dsn

Interesting report. I was hoping as I was reading it hear what it was. Pike? Laker? Carp? Piek I have never caught through the ice don't know what it feels like. Laker I have lost many this year I know what they do. Carp I have never caught in hardwater season but know what they can do in the summer. I wonder if they are slower fishters during the ice season. dsn

I didn't vote on any of the above cause I use a combination of lines. I fish in 60-70 feet of water. I don't like the stretch in mono at that depth. I need to be quick and set the hook hard. So I use 14lb power-pro main line and 20-30 feet of flourocarbon so the fish don't see the line. dsn

Don't!! I had one simular to that. I just deleted it. Mine was also about some tragedy also. And that someone need my financial help immediately. I felt bad about not helping. But Its a cold world out there. If I see someone who's in financial need that fine. But to reply to emails to stangers? And strangers asking for private info? forget it!! Well the spreader I got from Hanks today. I think the hookes were a bit big myslef. But they are locally made by a regular ice fishermen who knows what works. But I do think the hooks were bit big. dsn

It was a great day out. The morning started out pretty good. There was lots of folks today booking huts. The bite were constant for the morning half all the way up til 11:30am. Even though I kept missing them on the tip-up. Fish4me.!!. "Remember last friday I went out with you and you seen a laker Get off my spreader 5 feet from the hole? Well the same thing happened again. I never had much luck with landing fish on those things. I prefer using the rod. I missed every fish on the tip-up. These fish I have below where caught by my friend on a tip-up. Because of the warm weather, there were pockets of deep slush about 1 foot deep. It was so warm that the ice infront of our hut was melting and the ice was sinking when I stepped on it!! But the hut opertaor told us it was safe. It was only the top half of the ice melting and water was sandwhiched between the bottom solid ice and the surface melting. I didn't trust it. But he said if we wantted to we could move to another hut if it got really bad. When it was around 3:30pm and we packed all our gear and were ready for the pick up.. The operator told us it was nothing to worry about. So he stepped onto the melting ice with about 2-3 inches of water on top. And sure enough the ice cracks. His feet goes through the top part of the ice and about a foot of water underneath. But he was still standing on the bottom solid half. I wasn't going to get my foot wet. We went around the hut to avoid dropping into the foot of water. We had the Sorels ain't water proof for a foot of water. They had some kind tourney out there today. Now I have to rest my back!! I don't like phishing filters or all kinda of tool bars. It just clogges up my veiw takes up more memory. Then I'll have to buy a new computer who wants all that? I like things to be simple. That's one reason why I didn't upgrade to IE7. Nor will I upgarde to Microcsoft Vista. Thats a killer too. needs something like 1G to run the thing and 15G's to install. What am I Rich? dsn
