  1. Ah what did I tell you.. "Didn't I say that there was a monster in that area." Too bad I missed out on how you got that out of the water without a net. Nice fat pike!! Nice meeting ehg DSN
  2. I picked up a Chiefs Choice 110 from basspro few years back it is still works great. Sharpens everything from full size Samurai Swords to the small pocket knives. But it did cost me about $100 bucks and is worth it still going strong DSN
  3. Cool game when your stuck indoors. Caught a ton of fish. Perch, Bream, Ruff, Rudd, 1 white fish, few Artic Graylings. No pike yet or laker. Its great cause you can even adjust the sensitivity of the rod tip. DSN
  4. Yeah I believe it. They even say right on thier email page and when you sign into you yahoo mail that they collect all personal data. Right on the bottom of the page. Nothing is private anymore. dsn Yahoo Mail

  8. went out and did a bit of fishing and saw this gar Then I landed this mirror carp that I saw 2 yrs back. It was half the size it was now. But it was alot smarter back then. So I guess when they get older they get... ok ok, so the water color is differnet. I was fishing two different places but not the same day of course. I'm really happy about the mirror. Its been how long...5+ yrs since I started carp fishing and never landed or had one on. dsn
  9. I caught my very first mirror and I didn't have my digital with me. I thought .. see one carp pic you see them all so I didn't bother bringing my digtal. I should have. dsn
  10. I prefer 30lb main line like CCMT says and 15-20lb leaders. The 30lb line will also cut the weeds in half if the fish decides to swim anywhere near thick dense weed growth !!! You'll see the damage the line will do on weeds when it all floats to the surface. Its like mowing grass!!
  11. AS you can see there are some big fish in there ! These shots turned out pretty good so I'll be adding them to my files. DSN Enjoy your day!! Cause it might rain the next.
  12. You're the second couple I see just getting into carp fishing. I noticed it always the girlfriend who is always asking to get int carp fishing. I'd say they know a great sport fish when they see see it. Hats off to girlfriends. Now you'll be carping you'll see.
  13. Ah man, I told her not to yell at people for fishing but only chase those who take the fish for consumtion cause the carp are going exstint in those bays. Ok I'll have to talk to my wife again. dsn
  14. Slow but interesting report. Might have gottten into bigger and more fish if I came along. The islands is my home. dsn
  15. I can see the second band moving in from a distance getting dark blue. Looks like there is third band too later on in the evening.
  16. This just happened about 15mins ago the thick dark blue clouds move across steeles east ward not down towards the GTA. Only the rain headed downthat way cause it was such a wide band of heavy rain. This is taken from the West of the GTA out from my window. But its all clear sailing now. dsn
  17. I was outside this morning around 8am fishing underneath a tree. It was chilly in the morning til the sun moved directly over. And the heat and the winds died right down. By then the sun was over head and the heat was bad so I left. Even the fish (carp) was turned off with this heat wave. They were even hitting but they were definately swimming around you could see them floating on the surface. So they are having a hard time too. dsn
  18. They were predicting gas prices this 2008 summer would hit $1.40 in the winter months of 2007. So it's getting up there.
  19. CCMT you got it made bro. I would love to have friend who just comes knocking on my door and say hey lets go fishing out of the blue. For sure I would never turn it down. Plus a place to go close by... thats amazing. Those fish sure look beat up sore form mating? DSN
  20. I don't know anyone who is willing to drive all out just for to get a bag of maize. Besides with a bad back which is on and off would be tought to carry such a heavy load. Thanks for the offr tho. DSN
  21. woo wee Nice going !!! I was there Friday. DSN
  22. I was talking on person who said there was feed store in GTA but turns out it closed down long ago. I don't drive so no access to maize. Except for what I can bum off MJL. DSN
  23. Centreville? This wasn't from the island. As for the recipe I have no clue the peice of "Rum Cake" was given to us by a friend. But it sure speeds things up quick. dsn
  24. I thought I go out and do some carping. Haven't been out cause of the up and down temps. Saw some carp moving in the pool. So I took out my "Secret Super Charged Groundbait. This fish below took a sniff and leaped into the air!! It flew !!! Soon there was an entire gathering all over the ground bait like I have never seen before. And I get my first fish. I couldn't get any action shots til the Super Charged GroundBait wore off. It put up one hell of a fight. You can see she was thick in the back. The Super ChargedGround Bait "RUM Cake!! Not to mention over night bollies soaked in "Wiskey." I know they make Wiskey Bollies cause I seen them in stores before. Thank Got I don't drink. I would have landed more fish but they gobbled up everything so quick I couldn't believe it. Faster than corn !!!! DSN
  25. Sounds to me these fish have never been caught before. There for I would chum the area again and just leave. Go back to it next day and see if the corn is gone. If it is, then chum it again with corn and leave the area again. The next day check if the corn it still there. Even if you see them hanging around there and theirs no corn on the bottom... then they have ate the corn. Unless theres gobies in the water. Re-chum the third time and bring your rod the fourth time. When you chum they should be used to seeing food in that exact location and will hang around and make a note of it in their smart little brains where to hang out the rest of the summer. They do have a memory where they have found food in the past. DSN
