I have those too... because the fear ( and the nine stitches in my hand) from being bitten by a "jackfish" out on the prairies as a youngster is forever imprinted in my mind.
I bought my "pike tools" at CT... cheap..
the guy bought a bigger boat and motor.... unloading a 5.5hp sears motor cheap... with an 8foot cartopper boat....
any thoughts on the old sears motor...
(we will be test running it in the river before I drop "all" the money on it.....
London 9:58 pm.....
Lord tundering jesoooz
power went out.... tress are snapping and its raining buckets...
my wife and daughters are in transit from Toronto as we speak...
we have had two dodge dakotas in our company lineup... a 99 and a 2001
both were V6...
both sucked on fuel
both had exorbitant repair bills for "goofy " stuff that should last longer than 80k..
examples:
water pumps on both
ball joints on both
alternator on one
power steering on one
power steering pump on one..
when we got rid of the older one, we picked up a 2004 doge ram 1500- 4x4.... WORSE.... sucked on fuel.. big time
the crazy thing is... when we traded the last one in... we picked up a used Grand Caravan.....
more room.... quieter ride.... pulled our work trailer( 5x10 enclosed.. carrying tools and supplies for tile ad grout)with less "effort" than "the trucks"... go figure
Since I am now looking earnestly for a small tinnie, I have been following a lot of the posts on the board about boat /engine repairs etc.
I am starting this thread for HELP LINKS ONLY please.
Here are a couple I found so far:
Manuals etc
http://www.marineengine.com/manuals/
Parts and repair manuals
http://www.outboardrepairs.com/
Please add anymore that you are aware of.
Thanks
