got a 36lb thrust Motoguide motor and a brand new battery with it off Kijiji... $140.00 Pushes my 12 ft tinnie around with no problem for a couple of weekends on one charge -
That's what I do.. I fish as much and as often as I can. I will likely be doing some latenight fishing tonite though. Top water frogs, buzz baits and jitterbugs for an hour or so. Then up early to go to Thamesville for a 9am appointment. Might get there an hour early and try the Thames near my appointment.

so that's what you call the technique that I have been using when I ma hanging off the side of big tree branches and tossing my senko's to the shore And here I thought I had to learn ANOTHER new technique... Dang!
-
wow is that water ever clear
-
The only time I have off and it rains..... Am thinking of heading out to one of the local reservoirs where I can get some partial cover under the trees and drop some jigs or dark heavy Senko's. It's meditative for me. Do any of you try fishing in the rain for bass? If so, what type of lures or baits do you all use? Thanks Splashhopper

Hi Ryan: The little battery sounds good. Shirt size for me will be Large. For Dutchy will be XXXL. If he doesn't come, I will bring another fishing friend.(Rusty ?) Thanks ron

I am definately in Ryan. This Fish A Thon has a lot more personal meaning to it for me this year. I jsut posted on the board the passing of my closest friend(Hutch) on Monday. I think Dutchy is coming too, and this year we have my "new to me" tinnie. I think I will get you to show me how to use the depth finder I bought off you last year too. See u soon bro

I agree totally. WE can share our adventures and techniques without giving away the locations to the trollers that lurk here. -

Mercman: I lost my first mentor when I was 2.5 yrs in the fellowship.. I thought that was a tough day. Hutch has been my mentor for the last seventeen. This has been a tough day.
-
I like that line Cliff: Hutch left behind a long long list of people he helped crawl out of the bottom of a bottle. As a direct result of his un-dieing support and love, so many have turned their lives around and are helping others do the same. THAT IS one helluva legacy to this man.
-
His name was Hutch. He was my closest friend and spiritual mentor since 1994. Hutch's faith in God, Service to others and infectious optimism for life was a sight to see and be a part of. He was a solid "friend of Bill W" for the past 28 years. This man walked with me through ups and downs and never once complained about his own failing health in the last six months. His shoes may never be filled with the likes of this giant ever again. Hutch helped hundreds of men turn their lives around from the depths of the bottle. I know God has a seat reserved right next to him and I am confident that the two of Them will watch over me as they see fit. I am sure they will even have a laugh or two at my own expense. I miss him already. Thank you OFC for being a special place for me tonight. Sincerely Ron Hunter

How do you unhook a deep hooked bass ?
splashhopper replied to splashhopper's topic in General Discussion
I would need a bolt cutter for the hooks that are in the Scum Frogs -
I had a largie take one of My Scum Frog's real deep. I didn't realize that i had him until I started to bring in the slack from what I thought was a miss by the bass. I had been missing them all day Saturday and was really concentrating on trying to "feel" the strike on Sunday vs "seeing" the explosion on the top water frogs. The hook was down past the gills into a piece of soft tissue that just wouldn't let the hook out. When i tried to push it back down to see if it would release, it just got hooked even deeper. I ended up leaving the hook in him but can't stop thinking that the poor bugger is living( maybe ) with that piece of hardware in his upper gut. Here is a pic of it: So, how do you all unhook a deep hooked fish? ( any species) Thanks Splashhopper

"she feels bad".... Why? Because some unruly belligerent little JERKS stole her vehicle and it's gonna cost her BIG time. Go after the parents in civil court and GO BIG. Chances are the parents will settle out of court first and the kids may learn a lesson about ACCOUNTABILITY ! Or not
