  1. Yeah.... I'll be visiting one day soon Ben. Nice job again my friend.
  2. That's a fantastic fish and angler right there. Enjoyed the link, thanks.
  3. I like that. Good li'l laker report right thar. Them's fish are gluttons.
  4. Whether you like Obama or not, think he'll do a good job or not, care whether he's 50% purple, green or turquoise... or not... ... 18+ minutes of his speech just made an unforgettable moment in history in front of the world. I don't usually care... but sitting at home today I was certainly glad I somehow conveniently got out of bed at just the right time, then flipped the channel from "Off The Record" to live coverage of a speech that is totally forever "On The Record." What an amazing showing of people in Washington today. That country should feel proud to have a leader address them with such very uplifting and hopeful words. It's absolutely perfect that in their time of economic uncertainty and divided feelings towards war, that an entire population is reminded that they are still strong and free American's who through unity and perserverance will remain just that. There was nothing on the planet that could have made better TV during the noon hour. Cynics and hopeless critics need not apply to CNN or any other media... The U.S. needs a boost, and today schools, businesses and people on the streets took time to embrace new hope. Well worth the price of admission in dollars, cause if it cost a buck for each person watching in the U.S. it sure as hizeck tasted better than a tripple mocha latte from Starbucks at quadruple the daily rate.
  5. Good fishing Steve.
  6. Cool Wayne. Surely there are days I wish I invested in a portable too. Could be out there now. Certainly are the only way to beat some of the weather we've had. Looks like ya did alright on a tougher bite day.
  7. Hot chocolate and Baileys... COLD Scotch... SEMI COLD Moosehead or other... WARM Gatorade... HOT
  8. Looked miserably fun out there. Good fishing Joey and Co.
  9. Great haul first timer.
  10. STELLAR!!! Feel free to post picture reports like this ANYTIME. What I found weird though... you didn't use cross-country skis did ya???
  11. Another cool little collection of photos Al.
  12. I'm with postmaster Wayne on this one. lol.
  13. I'd go fishing in some pretty cold crap if I was garaunteed fish. lol. -283 C. Absolute zero.......... we'll all NOT be fishing there one day as this universe as we know it has long since stopped expanding from the big bang from whence it came. We're all being sucked back into an origin of nothingness now..... the hole where there's simply nothing, therefor nothing moves, therefor no energy lives, therefor no heat or fish or anything exist. Kinda like Attawapiskat where I used to live and fish at -283 C.
  14. Snow angels, a pile of perch and some great eats. Adopt me daddy. I wanna be a kid again.
  15. This is a cool pic Rich. You're like Paul Bunyan but instead of an axe it's a rod, and instead of a tree, it's a bass.
  16. Too bad we didn't get the chance Al. The fellas reported back about this nice guy they met while on a grocery run. You live in brook trout heaven... you're right. 15-20 years from now I hope to be in your boat. Great pics, keep'em coming.
  17. Dave.... now the man wants pike. Don't be such a terd-burglar... not everyone has your summer fun with Esox slime. lol.
  18. 10 KATRILLION BAJILLION DOLLARS!!!
  19. Jay... I think you're dreaming. A camp stove that burns for 8-10 hours and weighs 500 lbs wouldn't likely burn that length of time in someones insulated home. You're tent is not even really "holding" the heat. I fished those May days too just a little north of where you were. Even in a small rundown cabin we were in with an old small wood stove we couldn't fill that stove full and have it burn good heat for more than 3-4 hours. Wear some warmer clothes and buy an extra blanket. Use your present woodstove for BLASTS of heat in the morn, after a cold fish on the lake, just before bed, and maybe once in the night after your wizz... and if it's still cold, that huge tent of yours would have no probs running a couple propane heaters in the corners or a sportcat near your big sleeping bag. You're not that old yet and it's not the "great indoors" man.
  20. Nice to see the ole' guy can still get some fish. Nice... OK... "bullhead" from the dirty moo moo river.
  21. Those pike are perfect eater size. Big bones and easy for the kids to pick out... if ya don't filet 'em away already. Good last fish too, fo' sho'.
  22. Hey man... in 76 you were just a little runt. You can't be much older than me. And here I though the wee Hobbit was in his 4rth century. Great old pics. Short shorts are out these days, but the walleye still look the same.
  23. So cool. No time to read at work just now, but I like all them old photos.
  24. When I hook a big fish my partner in the boat sometimes asks... "Did you fart." It's embarrassing... cause usually it's more like a "shart,"... then we go to shore.
  25. I couldn't really say I know what I say.... Don't think there's anything "regularly" said on a hook-up. A couple times I've broken into some Shania Twain with "Man, it feels like a walleye." I got potty mouth. Not really that often except when excited, tired or buzzed. Cover your ears kiddies, here's all I could find in the archives to prove my point. http://s319.photobucket.com/albums/mm477/M...rent=PYM009.flv And here's an oldy but goody. I ain't playing the fish but I'm still the one cussing in the end. lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vO_TBqdTAps
