  4. hm very true. well I guess I will try and talk my friend in going! well use his boat first. (my 9.9 doesnt always want to work and well he has a 25 on his)
  5. to be honest Im very picky when it comes to rod reel balance and well I always test out a combo before i buy it (hold it in my hands how I would if I was to be using it). I prefer a rod that is very tip light even at longer lengths. you best bet is for example go to bass pro or some store with alot of products and try match them to your rod and reel of you choice.. I do this 95% of the time when I go to buy a new rod or reel. Ill have 2 or 3 rods or reels in mind but I take the time to test them out with each other and see what "fits the best" thats just my two cents hope any of that helps.
  6. well if its anything like the other lakes around the area its a beautiful place with some beauty fish to be caught! (born and raised up there)

  9. haha Frankie good report, been thinking bout going to Restoule. but also can relate to the musky story. my gf and I were fishing for walleye (wading out on scugog) caught a few walleye on the xrap.. take another cast.. and WHAMMMO! not a walleye for sure.. Smallie or a musky?! next thing you know I see this big long back swiming towards me so I told my gf and she headed to shore.. then the part was how am I gunna land this thing?! ended up fighting it for a minute or two on my walleye rod and braught it to shore (just shy of the sand) the thing was about 40'' and a very exciting moment.. not knowing where the gator is in the water mean (night time) but a great memory for sure!

  19. hey defenetly a fan of Scugog. and well fish it ALOT. as for shore fishing it can be pretty crowded. your best bet would be to rent a boat. or fight the crowd along the southern shore lines (PortPerry/Ceserea) and other then public boat launches there isnt much for shore fishing. though keep in mind the lake is VERY weedy.
  20. yeah tru and yes the white rods. Im lookin at 7`6-7`11 (micro guides/ split grip. very nice. much like the carrot stick.
  21. never really thought of it.. very smart idea
  22. I`ll be honest with ya I think my next twig for Flippin will be a Boyd Ducket.. 7`6 or somthin
