Thanks for the kind words Glen. The Addy wimmins has not been out yet...her work is presently taking up 90% of her time I am sure a lot of folks can relate to that.

Well for most people this has not been the greatest fishing season myself included. Been out a few times in the last few weeks. Managed two musky. One measured 29" and the other 30". Everyone likes fish pics so figured I would put 'em up on this dark stormy day. The last one demolished my spinner bait. Hit some decent perch. Bass have been small so far. Here is the biggest legal in season to date. Bluegill and WGSF are still around. All fish released. Hope to get out more often and find something bigger

Our condolences to you and your family from Adrianne and I. Will keep you in our thoughts during this difficult time.

Whoa Keep it up! Thanks for the report and pics

I like it the way it is. I got enough people trying to figure out how to get a hold of me CCMT and Bly have nothing on mine At least theirs is easy to pronounce.

Headed out this morning on Chemong, was nice and calm very little wind. Hit the usual spots with the usual small offerings. Water temps now 67F. Fish are more active than they were a few days ago. Boat traffic increased and it was becoming anoying so I moved on over to Buckhorn lake. Found some nice sized perch and a few wgsf. Started targeting walleye and came up with a few OOS bass. Then out of now where on a weedline in about 7 FOW i hook into my first decent walleye for 2009. Grabbed the new net and slimed it for the first time. Measured 19.5 inches. This one put up a decent fight and was released to fight another day. After the walleye more perch etc. I watched as an impressive storm rolled through towards the south. I managed to stay dry After it let up I called it a day. Hoping to get back out tomorrow

If I had that kind of money I would buy and it leave it undeveloped as is. You should buy one of the nice half million dollar jobs just south of there at the former Three Bouys House Boats... Only one is finished and another has been started

Well I have been away from the board for some time as I have been sick for the past few weeks. Now that I am feeling better I hit the boat today looking forward to the 'ski opener. Big wind and big waves...nothing new including no big fish...the weather this season just plain sucks. Decided to get outta the wind this afternoon and went up the back channel behind Big Island on Pigeon Lake. I noticed a large group of boats concentrated around the middle of the Island so I went over to see what was up. A very large for sale sign has appeared...everyone was looking at it dumbfounded. It reads: For Sale, 1,120 Acre Island approved for 95 waterfront lots. Now I always thought that this was either Crown land or belonged to the township of CKL I have taken a pic of it not the greatest quality... There are no services that go to this Island that I am aware of and it has the nicest natural shoreline in the area. Why mess this up. Here is another pic looking south...was a popular fishing spot today. Anyone else got any info on this being for sale? All I managed today were a bunch of WGSF

Hey looks just like mine

"It is also known for its succulent flesh, but many fishermen are put off..." Uh none for me thanks. Here is where the quote came from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freshwater_drum

Don't have to worry about those pesky boat ramps any more now eh Nice ride...you will love it. Now go get that truck dirty and that boat wet
-
The sunshine early this am was a liar I spent the am waxing and detailing the truck indoors listening to storm after storm roll through. Tied up some tackle for tomorrow...we may get lucky
-
I always thought that was plan "A"

Bring the lightning arrestor Enjoyed the vid thanks

Well looks like the Walleye opener for these parts will be a washout. Enough rain already lets have some stable weather May break down and do some shore fishing tomorrow or Sunday. What is everyone elses plan B?

Spent a lot of time on different build type of boats over the years. Our deep v fibreglass we have had since new will be 23 years old this August. It is a lot of work to keep the gel coat clean and in mint condition but hey I am fussy and I like the shine I can walk around and fish in the boat with my fat and it doesn't lean over like a tinner. Ride is better imo in a glass deep v. Can corner very sharp at speed and is stable. One of my guys at work is a pro and I have been out with him plenty of times in his Tracker all welded pro bass outfit and I must say I was impressed with the ride. His boat will be 4 years old this summer and has taken a nasty tea stained colour on the metal. Think I will stick with the glass

A sweet boat Lew Love that stand up top too. Enjoy
-
That would be a tough task...this thing appears to be bigger than a large patio boat or two.
-
Good point Lew. Something to add...take some plywood or other wood material that will fit under the jack incase you get stuck lets say on the 401 in the rain in the dark on a Sunday night on a soft sandy shoulder Yeah that was us last Sunday Another good tip is rip up some 2X4 or 2X6 and make some wedges just in case you need to keep things from rolling away.

I heard a few days ago that a large dock had broken loose and was floating around Chemong south of the Causeway. Was out driving across the causeway today and I can confirm that it is in fact very large and floating around south of the causeway. There is no way you would see this at night. Keep a good watch if you are out there.
