Well it's been a few days and I have cooled off some. 20 years ago in my younger days I would have been arrested for assault the day they told me they hired someone else but I like to think I am older and wiser. I have updated my resume and have a few interviews to go to in the next week and a half. To answer some questions, I did talk to my manager and regional manager and it was a decision they both made to go with someone else for the full time position and their reasoning was I am already there as a pert timer and it's easier to find a person looking for full time work then a pert time position. Now what really grinds my gears , and I can't help but laugh is that I am training the supervisor and full person they hired, i'm not good enough for the position but i'm good enough to train people for the positions! Both seem like really nice guys and I am holding nothing against them as they had nothing to do with me not getting hired but I do find it funny that I have to train both of them on what tools are what and how to use them ( as well as out computer system ) . Their tool knowledge seems to really be lacking. Like I said, resume is done up and being sent out, I like my job and am very good at it and really wanted the full time position but it's not to be. I held my temper ( and my tongue ) in check to keep my job to bay the bills and buy more fishing gear!!! Hopefully one of my interviews coming up will pan out.

Dude , you need your own fishing show! You videos are always amazing. Every time I see you post something I can't wait to watch the video, you always do an amazing job. Those were some nice slabs that's for sure!

I need to vent some frustration, has nothing to do with fishing. I work at a local tool rental place, I have been here 8 months ( since the store opened ) and even helped set up the store. I am a part time employee and have 4 years experience in tool rental and I am a certified Dewalt tool technician. I work hard and I am very good at my job. There are only ( sorry, were ) only 5 of us at the store. A supervisor, one full time employee and 3 part time employees. The supervisor, the full time and myself were the original 3 with the other 2 part time workers coming later. My supervisor , the full time and one of the part time employee's recently gave there notice. I applied for the full time position that is available, I am already doing the job and my first ( and only ) review was excellent. I am more then qualified for the job ( heck, i'm qualified for the supervisors job as I have managed a multi million dollar store in the past ). Since starting this job I have covered many shifts for other who keep calling in sick, One time I left my dad's birthday dinner because they needed someone to come in and cover a shift. Another time I was in the US with my wife doing shopping and going out for supper and to the casino when I got a call they needed someone so once again I came home early to help them out I have went above and beyond everything they have asked of me to do and guess what? That's right, they decide to hire someone new with next to no experience for the full time position. I'm so pissed right now because you know why they say they did it,,,,because it's easier to find a full time employee then it is to find someone willing to work part time and they need me to stay flexible and be able to cover shifts. I'm being punished for being dependable and reliable . We work long hours by ourselves, I work 9 hours but get payed for only 8.5 even thought I don't get an actual meal break. We are not allowed to close the store so we have to eat our lunch at the counter and have stop our "lunch" when someone comes in. Ever try to reheat food,,,well after 3 or 4 times of having to reheat it because of being interrupted its as hard as a rock and inedible. Sorry for the rant, I just needed to blow off some steam and it was either this or or nasty letter to my boss and as much as I would like to quit I need my job.

Gulp Alive: Best way to store them without leaking?
LittleWorm replied to PUMP KNOWS's topic in General Discussion
I bought two buckets of the Gulp alive minnows 2 years ago at Sail in Ottawa. Was a great deal, reg was $24.99 each and I got them for $6.99 each on sale. I just make sure the lid is on tight and have never had a problem with them leaking. They sit in my tackle bag, get thrown around and stepped on and have not leaked once. -
A couple of quick white fish, then it was wash wash
LittleWorm replied to misfish's topic in General Discussion
Nice video man. I don't think I have ever seen anyone hold a rod like that to reel in a fish in my life. Oh, It looks like you got yourself a great net man, hang on to him. A great net man is even harder to find than a great woman! -
Move Over Fall Fishing Because Spring is KING!!!
LittleWorm replied to Walleye'm Fishing's topic in General Discussion
Great pics! Those are some damn nice fish. I tried doing the tube fishing thing once, damn tube sank. It seems they have a weight limit, who knew! -
Great video, I'm so jealous. Would love to be able to go out to my backyard and have a spot like that to fish.

Thank God the Sens are gone. Tired of listening to all the ban wagon jumpers in my area on how great the sens are and how much they love them. Worst of it is, they may have won that game if the Penguins had not scored their second goal due to the idiot Phaneuf taking such a stupid penalty, like he always does. Any team who would pay more then a handful of broken hockey sticks and a bag of pucks for him are idiots.

Heck, If I could find a way to do it I would also! Funny thing is, when I was much younger ( late teens early twenty's ) I pretty much had that set up. Friend of the family had a cottage that they only used 2 or 3 weeks of the summer. I would stay there the rest of the time watching the place and keeping the grass cut ect... it was a pretty sweet deal.

OMG, if I got my boat back in that shape ( if I had o boat that is ) there would be a serious problem. First call would be top my lawyer as I would be suing his a$$.

Looking for musky sized Zman plastics
LittleWorm replied to singingdog's topic in General Discussion
I have used zman plastics for a bit now ( 2 years ) and they are awesome ! I have never seen any musky size , they are really made to target bass but I also use them for pike . The thing with them is you have to be careful, you can not let them sit in your tackle box (tackle box's ) with other plastics as they will melt to them so you always need to keep them separated from other plastics. Other then that they are great, they float and have really good action to them. their chatterbaits work well also .I order mine from Bass Pro Shop when they go on sale. Oh, and Canadian tire now carries them also. -
Good ol liberal government. If there's a way to screw the working person over they will find it.

Very nice!

Beautiful! Nice boat and great set up you have. Only thingI have caught so far this year is a pike a crappie and a bunch of bass. Walter seems to be hiding from me! When you put the boat in the water you had me all scared, I thought it was some kind of ghost boat driving itself !

On the lake I fish one of my go to lures when trolling for pike is the #4 mepps Black Fury , iv'e caught a lot of Pike on it but I catch a lot of bass on it also. The bass seem to love to smash the Black Fury.

Great video man! -
I was thinking of getting a subscription to the RLM ( random lure of the month ) but im not sure if its worth it. Is there anyone here that has done this before and have a opinion if its worth the $20 a month. I'm looking at the RLM box, probably not the LTB or MTB, RLM is Canadian and the other to are US based ones. So yea or nay on the RLM, a good thing or just more crap to try to find room in my tackle box for?

We have them here in the St.Lawrence also but you are not allowed to fish for them or keep them. Last year they found 4 of them locally in the river that had been cut open and the eggs removed then the rest of the fish just thrown back into the river. Last I checked they have not caught the person/persons who did it. They are such an awesome looking fish.

Without knowing the area you are looking at camping in it is hard to give any advice. Some of the areas I know are the Lanark and Ompah area. I use to camp at Govan lake all the time, now I just go in for day traps when I can. You need to buy a road/lot permit to go in and you can buy it online here http://northfrontenacparklands.com. There are to spots on Govan lake you can drive into and camp ( the rest are all on islands ) and each campsite is supplied with a Thunderbox. Some really nice fishing in there especially when there's no one else on the lake.

He was 12 inches but I do not know how much he weighed as I could not find my scales. I'm thinking he was right around the 1 pound mark.
