Been a while since I have had a chance to fish
SlowPoke replied to Handlebarz's topic in General Discussion
Well done Mike & Danna!! Same spot as yesterday? Rolly and I had a good time but the fish couldn't find us too easily! Okay, we went 2/3 with the 'bow going towards the block party BBQ tonight. I tried some, still don't like it! Is Danna available for any walleye derby's? -
No issues thus far. I've put over 1000 kms on in 3 weeks and the flaps look fine directly in front of the exhaust. Barely even warm after a highway run. If you are concerned about heat or exhaust flow, you could cut a 4" hole through the flap in line with the exhaust pretty easily but I don't see it being necessary.

They blow back about 8" on mine. That can be minimized with mudflap weights... http://www.iowa80.com/DirectionsWEB/webcart_category3.php?catid=MUDFLPWGHT Mine does as well but the Rock Tamers can be fitted flush. I left a gap because my truck has duel exhaust cutouts in the bumper and I didn't want it directly on the mudflap.

You could make an argument that replacing the motor is a maintenance expense, therefore 100% tax deductible against 2012 income. The "asset" is the boat. I would suspect an engine replacement in my truck would not be a depreciating asset. Also keep in mind, if you purchase in NY you will be paying state tax + HST and duty landing in Canada. Don't forget to claim that.

Keep me in mind as the date gets closer

Well done Emil. I have room in the boat on Monday if you want to join us. Steering is fixed, motor raised and new releases for the downriggers.

I needed the entertainment.

A new motor will pay for itself in fuel efficiency and peace of mind. How many clients will you have to turn away waiting for a rebuild?

For more info, google "eventvwr scam" The timing couldn't be better. I was in the midst of sorting and photocopying paperwork when I get the phone call. He asked for me by name and said I was receiving this call because I may have a virus on my windows op computer. It smelled like a scam or a sales pitch from the beginning so I had some fun with the guy from an offshore call center. 3 or 4 minutes of 'I don't know what operating system my computer has". Once we established my operating system, he directed my to hit the win+r (run command shortcut) on my computer). I wasted another 3-4 minutes having him explain where it was on the keyboard before I finally said "I found it". We did a couple of minutes of "did you hit them at the same time? what does it say?" In the meantime, I continued to sort and photocopy. I exclaimed some frustration and asked "is my computer supposed to be on while I do this?" Hehehehe Another 4-5 minutes keeping him on hold while the computer was starting... "It's really slow on startup..." I told him "okay, I'm ready.... what key was that again?" So, now he goes through letter by letter of what to type into the run command while I asked "what was that letter again?" "E as in echo" he says "Echo, is that spelled ecco? You get the how this is gonna go... 4-5 minutes later He says "read it back to me" I said "EVENTVWR" He says "Good, now hit enter and tell me what it says" I said "according to Google, it says Beware of eventvwr scam" Click.... dial tone.

I haven't been around much lately but I don't see any chatter about the Lakair G2G

Try your float rod; you didn't miss too many in the fall with that thing!

http://www.victorpest.com/store/mouse-control/b130-2 These are amazing traps. I use peanut butter and a little chunk of cracker in it. I've found the odd time they would lick the peanut butter clean off if I didn't have a piece of cracker.

Cupping is usually caused by bounce. Bounce is usually caused by; -under inflation (tread and sidewalls constantly flexing) -worn out shocks (same result but you probably don't have shocks) -stiff suspension (same result because springs are too rigid to absorb load)
-
You're all wrong! Keep them both for casting and add another setup to the arsenal for trolling. Put a nice linecounter reel on a downrigger rod for trolling. The glass content in a DR rod is much more forgiving and the flex will show you when those big baits are thumping. When they stop thumping, your hook is fouled or you have speared a bait fish.

OMG!!! We're inundated with racists! Or should i say race enthusiasts?

Fluid Film is awesome if you can see where you're applying it but I think Krown has better 'creeping' abilities. Just an opinion but I find FF to stay where you spray and Krown gets sucked into seems; like PB Blaster.

Krown, no brainer.

Just installed "Rock Tamers" from Cabela's. Nice product and currently on sale for $159

So does my Ram with a Class IV hitch. Some of us don't come by our good looks without a little effort!

Any RV dealer should be able to set you up. Avoid "universal" hitches if you can. I wouldn't go to U-Haul for the same reason I wouldn't go to Jiffy Lube.

How is your line of workout videos coming along? "P90XL" ??

$3.00 might save you $100 in diagnostics http://www.princessauto.com/pal/product/8003334/Electrical-Repair/In-Line-Spark-Plug-Tester Check kill switch if applicable. Check your tilt also. Some engines won't start if tilted too high.

That'll teach ya for mounting a transducer on your lawn mower!

Agree. Or keep diameter the same and drop to 19 or 20 pitch... availability will probably dictate what size you end up with
