  1. We've been getting blue zone action a mile off shore. No need to go out there in my opinion.
  2. I think they're all prone to leakage if not installed correctly and that may be the case when I've noticed the Extangs on Rams in parking lots... who knows? What I've noticed is a gap where it meets the taillgate. I just bought the Undercover Flex a few minutes ago, I'll post pics in a bit.
  3. I looked at the Extang and its not a good option for me; It sits on the bed rails rather than within it which creates gaps/leaks on the Dodge as it has uneven surfaces. The Extang only offers 2/3 access to the bed unless its removed completely. (which is easy if you're at home and can put it somewhere) It looks like a nice durable cover but check out the fit if you see a Ram with one.
  4. I've been eyeing the "Undercover Flex" for $820 at Action. It comes in a little cheaper the the "BackFlip G2" and is virtually identical except for one feature. The Flex will fold upright and stay up on its own while the Flip has the cover leaning against the cab in the full open position. Check out some youtube videos for comparisons if a folding hard cover is in your future.

  6. Roll down a window, the diesel fumes have gotten to you again.
  7. I didn't even wanna go there. That's fighting dirty!
  8. You can say what you want about Chrysler but at least they didn't build this...
  9. Thanks. It's a mess right now... lol It sits all week in a dusty gravel parking lot and sees a lot of bugs at 4am on the way to the launch ramp on the weekends. If I thought it would stay clean for even a day, I'd wash it!
  10. I'll ask you the same thing... where's your front plate? Actually, I'm glad Quebecer's don't have front plates because when I see them coming in the mirror I know prepare for the worst! That picture was when I went to look at it on the lot... I still haven't taken a decent picture of it!
  11. Groan.....
  12. I'm not fond of the white sport but the Laramie and even the Big Horn with the chrome looks great. On my way back from the Quebec border today we had the same white Laramie pass us three times and I commented "I don't like white but it looks great on the Ram!" I think on any other truck, it looks like a work truck but Dodge really pulled it off with the chrome accents. Since you posted a picture... this is mine. I should get around to getting a shot of it with the boat!
  13. I'm not a mechanic but I was leaning towards fuel starvation because it would restore power to 90-100% when he activated the choke. If the coil on a cylinder was weak, I doubt the choke would revive it. Starving for fuel is running lean, applying the choke balances the air/fuel mixture. Now, what is causing it to run lean... TYBO!! Where are you lol
  14. My guess is starving for fuel.
  15. Thanks. 5200 kms on it and all but 600 has been towing the boat. That 600km trip got me 12.8L/100km but pulling the boat is 22L/100km. The towing fuel economy is my only complaint. On the bright side, I always get a few compliments while I'm filling up LOL!!!!
  16. That's a great looking truck bass dreamer. I think the new Ram is hands down the best looking out there and I just hope its as reliable as the new F150's because I bought a 1500 Sport too. I opted for black because my new boat is black. They roll out of the dealership like that. The sport hood really gives it character in my opinion.

  18. I use 100' braid tied with an albright knot to 1000' wire and a 15' fluoro leader tied with another albright knot. The leader offers a little stretch so I dont use a snubber and it also keeps your wire safely stored on the spool.
  19. The hat was $82 + Tax + Shipping I know, I know... free hat. I'm going to warn Alex Tilley that you're thinking of buying one.
  20. Sorry, I missed this post. Thanks for the offer but there's no need to put you out. I'll send it back and slip a note in there to thoroughly check the replacement. The pucker is the lesser of the two issues. The bucket is sewn on crooked so it either doesn't fit right and the brim looks okay or it fits right and I look like a punk wearing their hat sideways. They don't provide shipping labels on Canadian orders and will be refunding the postage. Been there. They have a bunch but not in my style and size.
  21. You missed the boat on this one Roy, kids started getting an allowance right after the invention of the horseless carriage and around the same time as the popularized phrase "Father, can I have a few dollars and a ride to the trading post?"
  22. Check your upload settings on PB. It might be saving uploads at a low resolution.
  23. Raycaster changed the picture. The original photo had him bear-hugging the fish. More funny than harmful.
  24. You won't need receipts for your gear. Your insurance company might balk if you were to claim; Honas Wagner rookie card Hope Diamond 200" Plasma TV McIntosh audio system with B&W Nautilus speakers Autographed copy of the Bible Although your gear isn't cheap, it's certainly plausible that a fisherman would own such gear. Sorry about your loss. Take advantage of the opportunity to reassess your setups (rod & reel matching)
  25. That hold probably won't make the cover of "Musky Hunter" magazine but if she swam away, that's all that matters! I doubt your leader was bit off; their teeth are sharp but well spaced. It's more likely the leader was already damaged and a tug on anything would be all it takes. Give fluorocarbon leaders a try. They're easier on the fish when they roll up in them and you can retie a damaged end. My trolling leaders (4-5') usually get nibbled on and I retie all the way down to 1' long for casting. Lots of life in them and seldom a break-off.
