The Jeep only had light damage hence the Tahoe deal... had it been a write off I coulda had me a 2001 F150
-
For those of you that forgot or didn't catch my other Jeep thread... My Cherokee was stolen and recovered Jan 31. There was some damage etc.. I posted it for sale and it generated lots of interest but no serious bidders. While I was looking for a replacement for the Cherokee I found a nice Chevy Tahoe. I happened to mention that I was selling my Jeep, he expressed some interest and we came to a trade deal. So, my wife is happy that she doesn't have to pick me up from work at 3AM when she needs the van and I'm happy because after all the work I put into the Jeep, I didn't relish the thought of touching it again. -Brian

He might of... must of ran into hard times. Can't imagine why though, he took my payment and never sent my parts. No returned phone calls or emails. I guess he needed the money more than I did. In the mean time if you're looking for schematics, try: The Reel Doctor -Brian

No interuptions here in south London. It's likely ice pulling lines down in your area. -Brian

I came back to this thread a few times... wondering whether or not to reply. I'll put away the soapbox but I have to ask... where did you need to go so bad that you would drive on a sidewalk and lawn and risk damaging your company vehicle not to mention risking your job?
-
Oh, lucky me... I have to drive 714 km in this sh.. stuff tonight. Maybe I'll bring my camara tonight and do an "ice report" LOL..... I usually see 10-15 wipeouts on a night like this. Most of them tend to be car parts haulers, garbage haulers and over confident SUV owners. -Brian

Walleye Season - How was your year? Let's see your pics!
SlowPoke replied to ccmtcanada's topic in General Discussion
Had some numbers this year, not many bigguns... 5.5lbs might be the best -
That sounds like a nice kicker for your PolarKraft. -Brian

Yep... I read about the China correction and thought it was a drastic NAmerican reaction and figured there would be an afternoon rebound but around 2:50PM markets took a further swan dive... 100 points on both markets in about 10 minutes. I have seen nothing to substantiate it. The rebound since then will only get us back to 2:00PM levels at best where otherwise we might settled back to 150+- losses on both markets. I really shouldn't be watching it... I don't plan on selling anyway. Ouch.

I'm sitting here watching my investments disappear... DOW down 500 TSX down 440 Ouch. Need to stop looking. Can't stop. Ouch.

I drive a truck that uses 450 lts/day between the two of us driving. We've encountered many diesel stations closed and I thought I was in big trouble last night in Toronto when our fleet tanks were empty and I was on a quarter tank. I knew I had enough to get back home to London but my day driver would be left with nothing. I decided to swing into the Esso in Ingersol which had been closed all week for no fuel and they were open! That's the good news. The bad news is that I got thier last 230 lts. Most of us truck drivers don't have the benifit of pulling into any gas station... -not all have diesel -we don't fit in most -we often have only one company to choose from with a fleet fuel card. I suspect it's going to get worse before it gets better. I hope my day driver was able to get fuel in Windsor or I might not be able to work tonight. I need the money! -Brian

Hey Mike, thanks for the endorsement! I wouldn't have been back if I couldn't say the same for you guys! P.S. We might have that 18' Starcraft Center Console to try it out this year... I just got an email from the seller and the registration should be sorted out this week. I have to pitch it to my wife somehow tho... been an expensive week. Bought the Helly on Saturday, a Chevy Tahoe yesterday. I might have to wait til the weekend for the boat LOL. -Brian

Yep, OMAR has a great selection for sizes but unfortunately they didn't have colours anything like yours... "...and here is Mike wearing a delightful yet practical little number in Lemon Meringue from the the Suzy Survival Line... adorable "

LOL folks!!! Dax, I was in Steve's (smellinfishy) 16' with Mike (MrEH) and there was more than enough room until I caught my 46"er. It was a little crowded so we drew staws and the fish lost and we put it back into the water. We decided at that point not to catch anything larger than 40"s. -Brian
-
LOL!!! Who hasn't?
-
Hey Roy, how about Quebec City? I've only passed through but I did have some quick glimpses of some nice architecture. Old Montreal is nice to look at too with the cobblestones and horse drawn carriages but you're right about Kingston and Ottawa. -Brian

LOL Dax!!! The lures are fine... hey lemme know if you want to visit them, say on the water this summer? hehehe Note to Fishdawg: I haven't seen my roller rod in the mail yet (Just kidding LOL, he probably didn't get the money until a few days ago, no need to hand deliver it ) -Brian

Hahahaha... I got a good laugh at that one Whopper! Hey Jen, if I tell her you said she must be size 0 she'll want to wear it all the time!! Thanks for the replies... some good comebacks there! The suit is actually a 3X. I had tried on Nautilus 2X a llittle while ago and it was too short. The Helly fits a lot larger. I'm 6'3" 300lbs and it fits me pretty good with room for layering.

DanC picked up 10 bonus points for Jeff Gordon qualifying first. Other notable qualifying point getters recieved 8 points, some with 5, one with 4 and few with 3. Don't forget to pick your starting line-up before the race... somebody has Micheal Waltrip on thier team and he didn't qualify, thus will not be earning points. Standings going into race 2... Good luck folks! Keep the vent open when you're running the engine as others have said. If you're running a plastic tank, the sides might be getting sucked in before the primer bulb collapses. -Brian

Slowpoke how is the London fishing show?
SlowPoke replied to Handlebarz's topic in General Discussion
Hey John, You don't owe me anything for the passes... they were given to me! Good things happen to good people... the guy that gave them to me just won the FM96 Block Party... $500 cash and a 1 in 9 chance to win $10,000!! That's not to say we can't hook-up for some fishing but ya don't owe me a trip LOL!! Glad to hear LJ (Little John) got a good grab bag. I was thinking of picking up a couple for my daughters but I had flashback.... digging into a grab bag when I was a kid only to pull out a cheap red and white bobber, a yellow plastic practice casting weight and three cheesy rubber worms melted together! I might go back tomorrow and pick up a couple. Besides, I owe my girls some candy floss... I was outta cash, they didn't take debit and there isn't an ATM in there. I wasn't about to go to the casino to hit an ATM or I'd still be there!! I wonder if this goof suit will really float with my fat-donkey stuffed into it!
