  1. Well I have read a bunch of threads on the Gopro and see where it lacked with the under water camera action on the first edition I was wondering has anyone used the Hero 2 under water to see what a difference there is? Is the water proof case better and do you still need to make a after market fish eye lens? Where would be the best place to buy it for price wise I have looked at the big box FS and BB on line only. Thanks for the help
  2. Great pb juli congrats with the way our area looks its hard to believe that there is ice in ontario
  3. Last year I missed it due to snow and what ever thing we had going on now this year I will be in Florida that sucks as its just 1.5 hours from the house and will be a great show
  4. Dang very sad news my heart goes out to his family
  5. Well I just read a tweet from Dave he said he is a dad again with a new little girl if this is true congrats dave Dang that was close Dave just sent me a message back it not him I was scared first the weight loss then a new kid he had me scared that he might quit fishing
  6. Ben that's awesome congrats hell we still have open water here and no time for getting the boat out.
  7. That is awesome great memories for you to treasure
  8. Mike like others have said I would give this scum his rod back and be done with him also. I have had to do that in the past. As for charging more then half the gas there is nothing wrong with that at all I would think it depends on who is going out with you but who sais it has to be half or more are they making you go to the pump NO so let them know what you would like ahead of time that way its out there or let them know what you use for gas in a day if its $30 then say $45 if ya want a bit more that way they understand ahead of time. Most guys who own boats know there is alot more to a boat then just gas. The ones who piss me off are the ones who never offer but always want to come out fishing. I dont usually charge for gas but 85-90% offer it. If its a buddy that you will fish with at different times in there boat I dont take the cash. Others come down here in there little car and save to towing gas and big gas price from there trucks and toss me $20 or so I always feel bad for taking it but do it to show respect for there friendship and there understanding that it costs a bunch to run the boat. Heck with oil at $50 a gallon it sure is not cheap. Either way ya dont need people like that in your life from what I can see from all your posts your better then he is take the high road IT SUCKS BUT YOU WILL FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT
  9. Just went through and updated some of you that I missed before. For the ones who have not seen this thread please add your twitter name there are a bunch of fellow OFC members there
  10. BEST POST OF 2012 That is awesome that you guys got out and even better that he got to show you how it is done LOL. Congrats for being able to get out again I hope you guys can get in many more trips I am wishing for good weather for you guys. Cheers Mike
  11. One suggestion before you make all the shirts have people pay for there orders to which ever long standing member is holding the cash that way they are paid for and your not sitting there with 200 shirts and no one buying them. This will also give you a correct number to make and not be left with to many extras this has happened in the past to many times. Great idea for sure I also like the idea of helping out some hatchery or school project that is in direct relation for our fishing future.
  12. Nice to see ya getting out there Mike I sure wish I had the time right now if I did there is a lot of open water here for us to play with. Congrats on the new PB and from a boat at the end of Jan your not likely to top it in the near future.
  13. I have the same 9' as talked about above I love it. It's heavier then a stcroix or other $300 rod but great for the price. My biggest last season on it was 47" in the fugue 8. It handles my Handlebarz double 10's with ease. I have a large Abu big game 7000 on it and love the bigger handle. I Give it two thumbs up but that is my 2 cents
  14. Welcome aboard jay hope you find the OFC family entertaing and useful don't be shy on the reports and remember we like pics

  18. Oh Hell Kelvin I am so sorry to here this.
  19. Phil I will have to let my daughter know about it but I am sure she knows about it. Dang there are a lot of different versions of each ap who would have thunk it
  20. Sounds like a must have for the ones with out a gps combo on there boat and it might come in handy for charting when out with a guide on the great lakes
  21. Oh yeah I forgot the most important part my reason for a 3 year is the same as Terry I was sick of the hassle of getting a sticker and with 1 place in Chatham (city hall) it was a pain as they just did it on line for you but you had to answer all the same questions. Or I could drive 20 min to get it. So three year it is from now on 1 time renewal online and done with them.
  22. Sounds like the new year is going great but remember you still need to do the work for them fish
  23. 3 year sport. I just started buying it when I started musky fishing this way I don't have to deal with the people who get mad for others targeting musky with a conservation license. I rarely keep fish and with dad passing it will be down to almost 0 from now on unless I am asked for them
