  1. I bought mine here: Fulton swing hitch kit Just cut the tongue, drill holes for the bolts and torque them down. I did my boat trailer 2 years ago with no problems. Make sure you have the correct dimensions. They're located in Milton but shipping was real fast. Peter
  2. I've had a MagicJack for a couple of years now an use it for all my travels. I can plug any hotel phone into it and call home or they can call me using the local Toronto number. It's amazing how they can dial a local number that rings in my hotel room in Beijing. I carry a small 9" Acer laptop and most hotels give us complimentary internet as part of our contract. I've used it in Australia, China, Europe and South America and it's just like talking locally. At times, there can be a delay like any long distant call and an adapter is required to plug in a phone in Britain but you can always use a headset instead. My brother in law lives in Hong Kong and that's how they keep in touch with family here. Also, it will take messages and send you an email with a .wmv attachment that you click on and play in your media player.
  3. Wayne, Although we've never met, my home is open to you and yours if you need it. I'm sure that driving back and forth up the 400 is no picnic. We live in Richmond Hill just off of Yonge Street with excellent transit access and a large driveway for your car(s)(or airplane LOL!). Feel free to PM me if I can help. I'm real close to YKZ if that works too. Good Karma is two way street, hang tough... Cheers, Peter
  4. Hi Peps, For you and anybody who needs it, here is a link to download a Minn Kota manual I found a while ago: Minn Kota Repair Manual Although my pedal never failed, I installed one of these Minn Kota Co-Pilot systems and it works like a charm. You control the motor with a FOB (like a keyless remote) that clips right on to your fishing rod. They're pricey but worth it in my opinion as well as easy to install. I think I got mine cheaper on Ebay. The unit just "piggy backs" onto your existing motor. Minn Kota Co-Pilot They're about $169.00 at BPS in Vaughn Mills and they are in stock. Make sure you buy the one with the correct plug to fit your motor. Cheers, Peter
  5. 450 is just out of control! I wonder how much poaching they've been doing before they got caught. Who knows what else they're into as well. People like this have no regard or repect for anything including you and I. As I grow older, I find myself becoming less tolerant and more vocal toward idiots like this, enough is enough. Thanks for posting this Cliff. Peter
  6. Cliff, Do you want me to pick one up for you? If so, let me know which one you want and I'll grab one for you. I don't know if the store near me here in Richmond Hill has the same sale but I'll check tomorrow for ya. I'll be up to open the trailer early may and can drop it off then if that's okay? Peter
  7. Hi Fish4Eyes, This may help: Minn Kota Repair Manual Scroll to the bottom of the page and hit "Download" Cheers, Peter
  8. Beans, Thanks so much for the information, that's a relief! I'm back in town now so I can go check things out for myself. Cheers, Peter
  9. Hi Cliff, I'm back from Hong Kong Wednesday night and would be happy to come up first thing Thursday morning and give you a hand. Even if you're at work I can give Sue a hand as well. I've got two generators I can bring up as well, a 4000 watt and a little 1000 watt that can at least run a fridge. I hope my boat at Lunge Haven made it through! I'll give you a call Wednesday when I get back. Cheers, Peter
  10. Hong Kong here... On a layover and typhoon "Goni" is passing by. Can't wait to get back to the boat and trailer on Sturgeon which is about to get hit by a line of thunderstorms as well. There's no place like home!
  11. This is where we are: Nestle In Located between Lindsay and Bobcaygeon on country road 36. Very clean well run gated park. It's off of Sturgeon Lake on Emily Creek which isn't the best as far as waterfront goes as it is quite swampy there. There are docks and a marked channel to the lake which is ideal for small boats. My 19' Legend doesn't fit under the bridge so I keep it right on the lake at a marina. There's also a heated pool as well as a kiddy wading pool and lots of summer activities for the kids. Cheers, Peter
  12. Looks good Rob! It should keep ya dry trolling on Lake O. Peter
  13. Memart and I both bought the Lowrance LMS 520C and are very happy with it but I'm not sure if they still make it. The newer one is the high definition HDS 5 but I've heard there are some issues with them. Just remember you'll still need a GPS map card to have a map overlay. We found the best prices were at Radioworld when the spring fishing shows were on. They are very restrictive with returns etc. Of course, Bass Pro is the other option. Cliff, whatever you decide on, I can pick it up for you here in Toronto and bring it to you in Lindsay if you need, just let me know. Peter
  14. I've posted this before but I'll do it again if it is of any help: Minn Kota Repair manual download Peter
  15. Thanks Everyone, I'm off today for some father son time and it would be nice if he experienced some pike action. Cheers, Peter
  16. I'm taking my 11 year old son out of school next week and we're heading up to Bon Echo Provincial Park. It's on Mazinaw Lake and I was wondering if there is any decent fishing there and what species. I heard there was Pike, Bass and Lake Trout since it's such a deep lake. Any suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated. Peter
  17. Just a drive to lake in Muskoka
  18. Tough crowd man! It was 16.7 steady but when I was taking the picture it was flopping around pretty good. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Peter
  19. My buddy and went on a three day trip and had a great time catching Pike so I thought I'd share. This one was 42 inches and 17 Pounds caught trolling on a dollar store red devil lure! The rest were caught mostly on minnows and a bobber:
  20. My 115 Merc 4 stroke EFI has a built in hose attachment at the pee hole. You want to try backflushing it by connecting the garden hose and running it through for a good long time. Mine had some mud stuck somewhere once and this did the trick. Peter
  21. Why don't we organanize a little OFC pan fish derby of our own on Cameron Lake just off of this numbnut's dock? Imagine his face when he sees 20+ boats around his dock! Oh ya, and bring as many visible minorities as we can. Better still, I say we send that same boat with the same fishermen out and wait for buddy to surface waving his oar. When we get the word, we all mobilize toward the scene and surround him, oars and cameras in hand. Then post the pictures here the next day for entertainment. That'll fix his wagon! What a jerk... Peter
  22. Ahh, the truth comes out! He claimed he wasn't much of a drinker so I got him a CTC gift card instead!
  23. I had some issues with my lawnmower at my trailer near Lindsay so I thought I'd stop by Cliff's to see if I could find the part I needed. Before I knew it, he took possession of it and gave 'er the once over top to bottom, scrounged for parts in the yard and it came out like brand new, all for a little more than a smile. I can't find the words to describe the gratitude and respect I have for this man. He hardly knows me yet he bent over backwards to help out and asked for nothing in return. This twisted world we live in would be a much better place if everyone had a little bit of "BigCliff" in their hearts. Hats off to you Cliff and I hope you have wonderful time this weekend! Peter
