  1. If there were awards given out on OFC for best reports...You'd get 1st place more often than not!
  2. I have the St. Croix Premier 6'9" XHF and i like it, but I wish i'd gotten the 6'3" version, i'm 5'11" and the 6'9" is a titch too long...
  3. The higher the gear ratio, the faster the retrieve. The lower the ratio, the more power you have. For example, a 4:1 levelwind is a good trolling reel, 6:1 is great for burning baits fast. If you check out a Bass pro catalogue or Cabelas they quite often give the line retrieve in inches per turn of the handle for the different reels.
  4. St. Catharines, though I work in Hamilton!
  5. Nice one Obi Wan!
  6. First and only thing that comes to my mind is a I/O doesn't have the shallow water capability that an outboard has.
  7. Good question...
  8. That is a nice Kawartha Muskie!
  9. I've thought about fishing it myself...It definately has some deep water and Lake Trout...Seems like a recipe for some Fat Girls! I have a map in the Haliburton fishing guide book you can get just about anywhere. I imagine there would be a public launch in Haliburton.
  10. Nice fish Brian
  11. Let me formally end this thread now by repeating my favorite quote, "Religion is a crutch for the weak-minded" - Ex Governor of Minnesota Jessie Ventura.
  12. "Yesterday's history, tomorrow's a mystery, and today is a gift", Not sure who said it, but some crazy guy i worked with a few years ago told me... Sorry for the bad news Mike, I don't pray but I am a believer in the human spirit, and the strength of it when times are bad. Have a great weekend!
  13. I'm pretty sure Mike and Chris know the difference between a Pike and a Muskie...
  14. Kelvin, i didn't get any responses about meeting at Pub32 so I assumed knowone was going...Sorry. I keep my eye open for your boat but didn't see it...
  15. Nice Smallies Thom.
  16. Only if he was there to help EAT it!
  17. Some nice Smallies!
  18. I would be willing to share plenty of info...But first, do you have heavy gear, meaning more than a Bass rod...And second, what will you do once you've hooked a Muskie? Are you prepared to safely(the fishes safety and yours) land it?
  19. Raf, I have room in my Trailer...None in my boat though! I like the idea of a Bobcaygeon G2G...I propose Saturday night at Pub 32 in town at 9pm. Anyone else like the idea!?
  20. I think this thread is quite civil and should be left alone! This is an important issue that effects us all in our common interest of fishing!
  21. You can bet Dalton's NOT going to do it, I say give Tory the chance...
  22. Marc is well known for his excellent care of the Esox that grace his boat!
  23. Nice ones!
