  1. Is anyone else tired of seeing pictures like this? I understand the need to not show where you're fishing, but couldn't you take a pic that didn't give that away? I doubt anyone would recognize a background of trees! I don't care care to see these make-believe backgrounds, or worse yet, all blacked out!
  2. Learned at 7 months, before I could walk... I honestly don't think a person that can't swim should be in a boat!
  3. A thick 43"er that hammered a Topraider 30 feet out! My PB Muskie and first on a topwater!
  4. I doubt you'll be unhappy with the Honda! I thought it was either Tilt/Trim or nothing...
  5. My main purchase this year was a Lowrance LMS-332C GPS/Sonar combo. An absolutely amazing machine! The gps takes so much of the guess work away, I hardly use my old Hydrographic maps now. The Colour Sonar is light years ahead of my old 64x120 Grayscale Raytheon. I also picked up a St Croix Premier 6'-9" XH jerkbait rod, this is an extremely stiff and powerful rod! Though I think the 6'-3" might have been a better length for me.
  6. LOL, it was the same when I launched there this spring! A friend was smart enough to bring chest waders! Thats one wet launch. I was glad to have my Nissan!
  7. 2007 Muskie Odyssey, once again put on by Hamilton and K-W Chapters of Muskies Canada. To be held on Saturday April 14th in St. Catharines at the Quality Hotel/Parkway Convention Centre on Ontario Street(right off the QEW) So far tentative speakers are Dr. John Casselman, Gord Pyzer,Big Jim McLaughlin, and Capt. Larry Jones. This is a great event, so mark it on your calendar! If you're not already a member of Muskies Canada consider joining this year, one of the many great causes you'll be supporting is the LSMRP(Lake Simcoe Muskie Reintroduction Project) www.muskiescanada.ca
  8. I have an 05 Yamaha F90 and love it. Minimal maintanence, oil/filter changes every 100 hours or less cost about $30 to do yourself. If you can afford it go for the 4 stroke, quietest thing you will ever not hear!
  9. Welcome, and don't worry, that walleye fishing will wear off in time and you'll start fishing for something interesting! LOL
  10. TJ, thats butchery of a Classic Marley lyric!
  11. "There's a man talking on the radio What he's saying I don't really know Seems he's lost some stocks and shares Stops and stares He's afraid I know That's the way it goes"
  12. Do you what today is the 5th anniversary of? Hint, "Give me hope, help me cope, with this heavy load"
  13. You got me all excited there for a minute! I thought I was Rick Mercer who was on-line! He was fishing with Mr. Rae on a recent episode of his show...
  14. Did I say run the engine? No. I said turn the key and turn it over a couple of revolutions...
  15. Tinbangers report got me thinking...I imagine everyone that is still boating knows this...But, some might not. Its good to lower and drain your outboard at the launch, however, waterjackets aren't likely to freeze up solid enough to do any serious harm. BUT, your water pump is extremely suseptable to damage from freezing. Give the key a turn and crank the motor a few times to clear the water pump before heading home.
  16. Nice pics! Good to see some Muskie nuts out smashing the ice!
  17. Shhhhh! Don't talk about the Beaver on here! It causes a firestorm of controversy...
  18. You are one lucky gut to be able to go fishing with your Grandpa! Enjoy every moment of it.
  19. Looks like myself and pardner are going to fish the Harbor Saturday. If any of you guys get out that way stop and say hi. We are just going to trailer the the harbor launch and will likely be on the water from 8am till early afternoon. Good luck! Remember to crash the humps!
  20. I guess thats why I continue to fish the Upper...
