  1. Congrats Guys !!!!
  2. Good luck Matt. Beautiful part of the province you're heading too !!!
  3. Nice pike, congrats !!
  4. Just went on the Muskyhunter site. You can get a set shipped for $60. With exchange at pretty near par, wouldn't be much more than that.
  5. Great shots Larry. Hope you gave that passenger on the muskie's head a loving squeeze with the pliers. Really like that shot of the gar, cool angle.
  6. Just to add one more thing, having a set of split ring pliers makes life easier as well. This video although they are using if for jewelery will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. If you have an old set of needle nose pliers around you can make your own. Heat up one end and bend the point and trim off the other side down a bit. Hope this helps. http://video.yahoo.com/watch/1350062/4657005
  7. Mike has covered it all. If you can afford the Knipex cutters, get them. They are definitely worth it. If I'm fishing by myself I don't even try to take the hooks out, I reach for the cutters right away. It only takes one minute to put a new hook on after you release your fish. Gloves are good investment as it gives you a little more confidence when you handle the fish. As for spreaders, I have them in the boat but rarely use them.
  8. Wow Matt you weren't kidding, that picture is very clear. Are those the "go to" baits or just decoys for the camera ?
  9. Awesome ! How is she liking school?
  10. Went with them one year and would never go again. Try Ice Bungalows...much better.
  11. Awesome post. Good luck to your daughter in school.
  12. Thanks for the kind words folks. Thanks for the 50 Terry cwpowell- I dont normally weigh them and I didn't get a girth measurement on her cause I was trying to get it back in the water as quickly as possible. She was a similar size to one I got their two years ago and it had a girth of 23 inches which would put it in the 30-35 pound range I beleive. Jim
  13. Nice meeting you guys !!! Great report. You guys did great!
  14. Great post. That's a beauty, congrats.
  15. The family and I just got back from our annual trip from the West arm of Nippising. Water levels were crazy low and the fishing was tough for the week ....with one exception !! Caught this big girl one morning on my own. Self timer shot... Centered. She swam away good and strong.
  16. I've got one, very happy with it. Holds a charge very well.
  17. Yes, we're heading up at the end of the month...Cant wait !!
  18. Good stuff Joey. Did he catch that fish up at Nippising or another lake ?
  19. Does anybody know why Musky Hunter and Next Bite are not on WFN anymore ?
  20. Great shot !
  21. Now that's a great report. Nice job.
  22. They used to be on Rice a few years ago, now they're pretty much gone. The "local" residents in the Nippising area should see how this was accomplished
  23. Awesome report. Some monster pike
  24. Nice fish and congrats on your first musky. Just to add on what a couple have said...I agree with Raf, I wouldn't bother with jawspreaders, I've got a pair in my boat and never use em. Get yourself some knipex cutters or at least to get you started CTC usually has small bolt cutters. For nets, since your boat is a on the smaller side, you might want to consider a Stowmaster net. They fold nicely when not in use. Jim
  25. Doesn't matter who wins as long as they knock out the damn Habs.
