One hell of an intro man, welcome. Great pike there and laker for your son. Sioux Lookout, had the pleasure of fishing there a few years ago and caught my PB musky there.
Roy, I would vote for Lake St. Francis. I'm a little biased cause that's the lake my Dad taught me to fish on and we caught a ton of nice fish. I haven't fished there since the late 80's and would love to get back there soon.
Just got back from my favorite lake to fish. It did not disappoint again. Here are a couple of beauties I caught in the last 2 days.
The 52 incher...
46 incher...
Way to go Mike !! That's a beauty. Congrats on a great day. Gonna be making a couple of trips down your way this fall. I'll give you a heads up when I'm coming.
Great thread Dan !! We actually were fortunate enough to catch this experience on video. This was up north last year....three bald eagles converging on an osprey and stealing his fish...very cool...enjoy..
Thanks for the replies folks. Roy very kind words, much apprecicated. Haven't been out much at all this year, crazy busy year. Hopefully that changes going forward.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Pete Bowman in a Pro-Am tournament 7 years ago (god time flies). It was a birthday gift. Pete is a stand up guy and I had a great time fishing with him. I still keep in contact with him today.
Here he is giving my younger son some golf tips...
I caught Elton John at Caesar's Palace last weekend. Glad I did, it was his last show before being hospitalized. Here's one from the show...

I made this video a few months ago and threw it up but probably better timing now that musky opener is less than a week away (in some places).

Great thread Roy ! Some beautiful baits you have there. I started making bucktails, bootails and spinnerbaits a few years ago and now I"m on to the flashabou. Have had good luck with them and they are easy to make. That is usually my winter project..here's a few
Interesting this thread came up as my son and I were out on Simcoe last weekend fishing for bass and pike and we lost a musky boat side...about 30 inches in size. I for one think it would be neat to have muskies in Simcoe. I applaud those that are at least giving it a try to bring them back.
