  1. What a way to start things off. Coho fight incredible, and are probably my favourite of the Lake O species, I just never seem to be able to hook into them anymore out this way.
  2. That gorge is quite the hike (to say the least).
  3. Looks like a tasty meal to me.
  4. Sounds like a great morning. That second fish has some amazing colours.
  5. Great report. That laker is a hog! I've still only managed whities out of simcoe.
  6. Good going. That's about as big as the eyes seem to get in the bog nowadays. Probably because their caught and kept before they get any bigger.
  7. I see the bite was so hot he didn't take the time to snap any shots of you holding fish eh? Great report. Were you the extreme net man for the trip?
  8. I prefer setting the riggers first, and I always run dipsy's on 3, or 3.5.
  9. Worms are an absolute must. If you see fish that you can't get going on spinners, just toss in a simple #10 or 12 bait hook and a small chunk of crawler.
  10. That's a good sized atlantic!
  11. You got into some solid smallies. Nice going.
  12. Only the blades spin, so a swivel is not needed.
  13. Woah, those are absolute brutes! Nice going.
  14. Even if the signs are there, there's always people shore fishing there, so I really don't think you have anything to worry about.
  15. After reading this, I almost want to change my course selection to F & W. However, I think the Environmental Technician - Protection & Compliance course should be able to provide me with a wide array of oppurtunities in a field I enjoy (you may want to look into it, Mike). http://www.canadorec.on.ca/programinfo/ful...nces/030114.cfm
  16. I misread. My mistake.
  17. Agreed. Less people (although there will still be crowds) and deeper water closer to shore.
  18. It was quite a contrast being up in Temagami over the weekend where the trees are barely even budding, whereas down in Southern Ontario the ravines are already overgrown jungles.
  19. Beautiful shot, and great report.
  20. You're killing me here! I probably won't be able to get back to the streams until at least Friday. If you need assistance taking photos and/or netting fish, I'm your man.
  21. I was thinking it had more to do with inconsiderate fisherman...
  22. I couldn't help but notice the exposed knife laying on the ground in the 1st picture...
  23. There should be plenty of perch there. Bring some micro tubes and grubs and maybe a slip for those. Walleye can be there this time of year, so try some 3" grubs tipped with worms, bucktails and small jerkbaits like countdowns and shallow diving husky jerks. Good luck.
  24. Port Hope shouldn't start getting going good until early to mid-June, depending on what the water temps are like.
