  1. Its all but over.....Hockey Hooligans have entered
  2. Better to disconnect the basin from the wall, just two bolts screwing it to the wall and then you can lift off the basin from the pedestal. It is easier to remove and reinstall your faucets this way, especially if they are 8" widespreads.
  3. What is the make of the faucets? Sounds like you have a 8" widespread style, but need make. Some unscrew from the top and drop down, others have nuts at the base underneath. Are they on a pedestal or vanity basin? Can you easily remove the basin , that way you can get at the faucets much easier. You will find most widespreads tighten on from above. You must take the trim(escutions ) off each side. They turn or pull off from above, then you will see the nut which is tightened down to the top of the bowl. Other types have an allen wrench hole down inside , you will see it once the cartridges are pulled out. There are other types, so a picture will help.
  4. I think many of Bill Dances bloopers are staged, but your right, funny stuff.
  5. What I can't figure is how he got the boat there if there was no pin in the hitch.
  6. Put this up earlier but at the end of someones post, so I don't think many saw this. I laughed each time I replayed it. http://www.fishingpixels.com/bill5.html
  7. Nice boat, only one problem, its not in the water. I'm sure it won't be in the water soon enough, good luck with the new fishing machine
  8. Sony, got 3 of them all different sizes and one Sharp. Bought Sony for 40 years and never had a problem. Stereo and radio also Sony. I think they are all pretty good today though, some parts are made by one company for most TV's these days anyway.
  9. Unfortunately almost everything we buy in Canada is now being made in foreign countries, or they have moved here with big grants from our government. Our manufacturers have many of their plants now situated in places like Mexico. Example, American Standard Plumbing Fixtures, a Toronto firm , now has all their pottery made in Mexico. So its hard not to buy foreign, then again maybe we should take a little less and work a little harder, then just maybe we would be able to keep the manufacturers here.
  10. Why not upload all of them later.....
  11. I have two units from Radio World, an on board marine radio which will pick up signals from across Lake Erie from Port Stanley, and a very good hand held unit for my wife when back at the cabin. The hand unit will pick up to 15 miles in good weather, but both have trouble as all radios when you get in behind high points and bad weather, but with better quality units you will still get decent reception even in the worst of conditions and low spots. I have always bought the top of the line marine radios, our lives are worth more than a couple of bucks. I have seen guys buy $400.00 fishing rods and $150.00 radios, doesn't make sense.
  12. Whats even better is that Jos will order in anything you want that he doesn't carry.
  13. Last year I ordered a Calcutta TE 100DC reel from Joslyn, after a few weeks he told me he wasn't able to get it for some time yet, he said get it while I was in the States, so I did. A few weeks later he got the reel in anyway, gave me a call and ask if I was interested in having a second one at a fantastic price. Which of course I said yes. Best reels I have used. Jos of course as said in here is a very personable guy, will do anything to get your business and keep you happy. He is becoming very busy and harder to get to see, but as fishermen we seem to have more patience than most , especially when it comes to our toys.Oh ya and if you want to learn how to use your electronics etc., just see Jos, but have fun trying to keep up.
  14. Cut up apples and prunes.....but make sure you have a head on board!
  15. Damn and here I just bought two new Yamaha motors, guess I didn't help.
  16. Was born and played hockey in Montreal, most my family is still there. Too much to mention, but here are some of the sites you should try to see if you are touring about. If you are a hockey fan you can take the tour of the Bell Center. You can visit the old site from Expo 67 and see Olympic Stadium with the Montreal Tower, you can go up 575 feet and look over the city. Take a stroll on the boardwalk along the St Lawrence River,if its warm enough. Walk up from Peel St to Mount Royal to Mount Royal Park and over look the city. Visit the market downtown, just outside Verdun.Definitely go to Vieux-Montréal (Old Montréal) and see Notre-Dame Basilica, inside is just unbelievable, also in Old Montreal there are shops, restaurants and more.Last you can visit the under ground city, hundreds of shops and resturants there, just follow the subway.
  17. Now heres how to get the boat in the fast way, turn your volume up. http://www.fishingpixels.com/bill5.html
  18. Ok, April 1st is over, so finish the story, tell me more, how big was the fish. I need an adrenaline rush, something to get me through the next couple weeks.
  19. Anyone remember the program the Wild Kingdom? This guy was supposed to track down big game animal and got real close to these wild animals many times. He had a very popular show, high ratings and had big TV sponsors. Well he got caught staging all his shows, using zoo animals and trapped animals to make it look like he was a big hero. His show ran for several years until he was found out. The big phony lost his show and was dragged through the media for some time. So yes these super stars do what they have to to look good, and most of them are not as good as they put on. My brother-in-law does camera work for some of the fishing shows and he says they do hours and hours of film to get a few minutes of fish. Most these hosts set up with resort owners and go to their special honey holes to make sure they get fish and even then its not 100%. Not many just jump into any lake and take a chance, they usually have it all set up. Time is money
  20. If we were to believe every time some one said there was no fish here or there, we would never go fishing anywhere. Temagami has tons and tons of bass and lake trout. Walleye are plenty, just finicky, like most places can be, but you can fish the back lakes and limit every time.
  21. Small world. You guys did a great job, nice cottage(camp) ,I get hell when I don't say camp up north. Spot is very nice and private, especially on back of island. My wife and I would be still going there except we bought our own camp . Great job Malcolm.
  22. Got the bulbs starting to pop up here. Good sign. Once all the snow is gone and it starts to dry up around here,I will then be able to get my boats up from out back and whooola , time to tinker and play!
  23. Once his web site is up, hopefully this week , I can post the site and prices will be there. Great area and very nice cottage.Very private. It has two large bedrooms, large new kitchen, laundry, washroom, living room, dining room, just like home but private.
  24. Yes Ricks place. He used to own Ketchen eny.
  25. Anyone interested in renting a cottage on an island on Lake Temagami please let me know. My wife and I stayed here for the last couple of years and its just beautiful. We wont be able to go this year so I told the owner up there I would try and help him out. He is just getting his web site up and going, so it should be up soon. This place is fabulous, just built two years ago and is on an island with only two other cottages, the owners and one other rental. It has full facilities, screened deck, gazebo with hot tub.Large private dock.Lots of fish (bass, lake trout) and surrounding portage lakes with plenty of walleye. One of the nicest spots I have been to. So send me a message if you want any more info. He told me he had a few open spots to book. My two weeks were last week of August and first week of Sept., so these are open right now.
