  1. Braid, I prefer Power Pro. It does freeze, but no other type if line straightens out better to get maximum feel out of a light bait.
  2. with the high water this year almost all of them came through in 1 day. it happend about a month ago. Good for the spawn.
  3. The best diet for losing fat is not to eat less, for that slows your metabolism, and does not allow your body to get enough nutrients especially if you are weight training. The best way is to raise your metabolism by eating often, a meal every 3 hours your awake is best. The size of the meal depends on your size, muscle mass, and how active of a life style you have. each meal should consist of both lean protien and whole grain carbohydrates or vegetables. You'll have to experiment with portion size to see what is right for you, or make an appointment with a good personal trainer/nutritionalist. You dont have to follow this or any diet exactly, but like anything, you will only get out of it what you put in to it.
  4. I've never used ankle weights or any of that sort of stuff before, just freeweights. But for any type of working out it takes longer than a week to see big results. If you are seeing okay results in a week, I'd say your doing a good job. Stick at it, and you will see better results. And what kind of results are you after.
  5. I googled ''Toronto island pike fishing'' and ended up here.
  6. I think the rule is in place to prevent poaching. Just like how it is illegal to sell angler cought fish or roe.
  7. I've cought a few smallies like that before. I wonder if its some kind of disease.
  8. They do taste like garbage out of warm water, but don't go knockin sheephead until you've tryed one out of the cold waters of Lake Huron. I think you'd be suprised at how good they taste.
  9. I think that's a great idea. I've seen a lot of good questions here that dont get any answers because they where already asked and answered recently.
  10. -Coho -Brown -Rainbow -Chinook -Sheephead
  11. Looks to me like someone took the jaw off another fish and stuck it through the gills of this one.
  12. Thats a tough thing to plan holidays around. But I think you would be pretty safe in late September this year.
  13. Looks like an 8+ in the picture, but pictures can be decieving. A 21.5'' with that build is probably 6-6.5 lbs. Beuty fish for sure.
  14. Nice fish and great advice, thanks for sharing.
  15. I dont fish for carp much, but I have targeted them with crawfish a few times and have found they work better if you freshly kill them and crack them up a bit. But this could just be, because the live ones hide.
  16. I have found the worm bedding bought in stores works best. But whatever you decide on, make sure you use non chlorinated water.
  17. Open up a single hook and use it like a sewing needle to thread the wire through the bait. Then crimp a hook on.
  18. I dont think you understood me. I dont think any fish likes the smell of rubber, so if it smells like rubber, scent it. And with some baits like a lot of soft plastic musky ones dont come in a scented version.
  19. Mostly 5'' and sometimes 4'' for bass. I've tried the 7''ers for musky a few times with no success so far.
  20. Because Bass magnet makes some very nice baits, and most soft plastic musky baits smell like rubber. I use Bang scent in the erisol cans and it covers up the bad smell and lasts a long time.
  21. I use a lot of Yamamoto and Berkly soft baits. And that road tar smell is just the smell of the plastic. Most soft baits are already scented or at least naturalized, but if not just add your own scent.
  22. I think what bass (large or smallmouth) like best about senko's is their subtle wiggle while falling. So I like to cast or pitch them to a piece of structure and just let them fall to bottom, and let it sit still for a few seconds. If it doesent get bit twitch it up a few times so it can fall back down. If it's calm rig it weightless, if it's windy rig it dropshot style with a long dropper line.
