Time to look for a used boat in the US!

Just bought a Clam Nanook Thermal.. Absolutely love it.

I caught a few jumbos in 80ft of water out of IBP fishing for whitefish.. Food for thought. You could also travel up the road to Cooch and do better.

I prefer to use a baitcast reel over a spinning reel if I can. It all depends on the type of fishing though and again it's personal preference. For tossing cranks, or slashbaits or topwater to me, nothing comes close. I can cast anything from 1/4oz to 3-4oz baits with ease with my Calais, but it does need to be tweaked in order to do that effectively (VBS braking system, etc). I

I keep notes everytime I go out steelheading. Got the book for Xmas actually. Extremely valuable, it's amazing what you'll forget.

6'6 Medium fast with 6lb braid and a 2500 Series reel would probably be an all around good setup.

There are people falling through ice in Cooks Bay while they are walking.. A vehicle is the LAST thing I'd be bringing anywhere near Simcoe.

This is one reason I've disabled the DRL's in my car. Definitely doesn't help running the bulbs ALL the time. Most trucks have fogs or indicators as DRL's and not the main headlights. Goes a long way.

If you want high quality reproductions (ie you're going to frame them) don't get them at Walmart. You get what you pay for unfortunately.

We found 5inches out there today... But no one was even close to it. Lots of 3-4in ice though..

I was just about to say this, lol!!!! According to my GPS we did about a 7km loop today. I also didn't turn the GPS on at the ramp, probably about half a km out.

I'd be seriously looking at Tacomas if you want the best small truck out there (this coming from a guy who owns a S10 ZR2).. The 2003 was the last 'small' Tacoma they made, but it was a great truck. My oldman owned one with the 3.4 and the 5spd, horrible on fule but what do you really expect.

No stinger hooks? I usually run 3 hook rigs, at a minimum 2 hook rigs for 'eyes.
