  1. You think the middle lane is safe? Or any lane for the matter? LOL I drive these roads daily (Over 1000kms per week), there is no safe lane
  2. I had the EV @ +2 for the bear shot, I didn't realized it until I got home The shadow on the jaw drives me insane, as does the really busy background with the eagle on the log pic. I also have the entire action sequence of the eagle coming down and grabbing the fish but because I had the camera on AI Servo, in burst mode it never refocuses before each shot, so a few of them are blurry. Ah well, live and learn I guess!!!
  3. Watch out for the homeless and crazy people downtown, that's about my only advice, lol.
  4. Ah, so because you are already going over the limit you feel it's fine to hold up the flow of traffic? Do us a favour, if you are going to drive slow, do it in the lane it was intended for.
  5. The more Mike's the merrier! LOL!!!
  6. This is the guy you can thank for traffic jams and people slamming on their brakes. You belong in the far right lane, if you don't like the merging, then get up to speed and sit in the middle lane like everyone else. If transports can do it, so can you.
  7. You aren't going to save much gas at all taking the 407. Saving time is debatable (Nothing wrong with the 401 is the traffic is decent) You'll just end up with a nice $25 bill
  8. Getting greased out in northern Ontario, man that's brutal, lol!!!!
  9. Yeah, that's horrible looking. I clean mine after every trip (Even if it is just egg juice, I try to not dunk my reel)
  10. 100km/h with the cruise on will piss off a lot of people, lol!! When is the OP driving through TO? Friday afternoon/evenings are the worst for northbound traffic (Although might be a bit better now that labour day as passed) Southbound traffic from Barrie > Toronto Sunday afternoon/evening is also pretty crappy.
  11. Grab my buddies Mike, Ferg, Jer and Dave and head up to the Situk for a few weeks ...might also have to make a side trip to the Tree as well.
  12. Love throwing crappie tubes and similar in the spring!
  13. 14lb Fireline Crystal on my meat stick setup. 8lb Drennan Super Specialist Mono on my other.
  14. Mike, make a single thread dude, lol!!!!!
  15. Anal vent of the female should be extremely visible this time of year. She'll most likely be squirting eggs with a slight push of her belly.
  16. Or disgruntled Lake Dalrymple cottage owner, lol!!!
  17. Yup, you gotta drill holes. It's really not a big deal
  18. You're still asking guys to tell you the best lakes to fish, lol. There is a reason why it's called fishing and not catching. Go give it a shot, make some notes and if it doesn't work out do something different next year.
  19. It's the hippies and nomads that hang out at the 5 Point Rizzo, lol!!!
  20. It doesn't get much simpler then this.. Never had an issue with it, boat trolls down to nothing when it's down. So much easier then using a bucket or drift sock. One pull of the cord while in reverse it's down, one pull of the cord while going forward and it locks in place out of the way.
  21. Also watch out for candy being whipped into the run by your buddies, lol! I've been the victim of more then one chum attack.
  22. 30sec, ISO100, I think around f11 or so with my EF-S 10-22mm. I'd love to figure out how Brandon gets those killer milky way shots!
  23. I usually water harden and that's it.. I never cure brown or steelie roe. A good rule to follow is this. If the water is stained (8-12inches of vis) You'll wanna run bigger/brighter bags. If the water is clean (2ft - unlimited) You'll wanna run a smaller presentation perhaps in peach or white.. It really does depend on the water you are fishing.. Early in the fall you'll still get the odd hatch out, so tossing a stone or similar down there might be the ticket. Once the salmon are in the river and on the spawn, roe will be your go to.
