  1. Dan's kid is like a miniature version of him, lol!!! It's kinda freaking me out
  2. Tell the poor guy to get off his ass and get a job, then he can buy a boat and troll 2 lines like the guy with the 35ft'r
  3. We really need a Cabelas here.. Slap one down right across the highway from BPS.
  4. Ryan over @ wepoundemfishing.com will take care of you.. Great guy, awesome boat and he spends enough days on the water and boats a lot of big fish http://www.wepoundemfishing.com/
  5. Are you really trying to bash one of the most well respected muskie guides in this province? Goodluck. How do you know this fish wasn't taken off a deep weedline in 30ft of water? And because it didn't release right away he jumps into the shallows in order to revive it? Let the man chime in if he wants before you start spouting off.
  6. Get outta here with that crap! LOL!
  7. The running is the fun part, it's the reeling in on a wire setup that sucks. But don't listen to me, try it for yourself, lol.
  8. Reeling in a fish on a wire setup is not very exhilarating.... be prepared, lol.
  9. Drift around fish a bunch of different spots. I wouldn't throw the anchor unless you're on a hot spot.
  10. Dude, the Rake-un episode was one of the funniest things I've ever watched.. *warning for language*
  11. I never go into big box stores (Sail/BPS) and expect some in-depth fishing recommendations from any of the staff. Let's be realistic, most of them aren't fisherman and even if they are, most of us here probably know more then they do anyhow. I'm not trying to come off as an ass, but it is what it is.. If I can go to a big box store and save a few bucks I will. I don't go into any fishing store looking for advice, I'll figure that out all on my own.
  12. Starting the motor for a few seconds then shutting it down without it being submerged is not going to instantly destroy it, so don't worry about that. Although I don't like all the oil leaking from the lower unit. I dunno how anyone would consider that normal.
  13. I've got my tinfoil hat, I'll be fine!
  14. Vertical jig them just like you would in the winter through the ice.
  15. I like the Berkley power crayfish on a 60 degree shaky head with the screw retainer.
  16. So much more bang for your buck if you shop stateside. I'd personally try to buy in the fall as well, much better deals to be had.
  17. Definitely a pedestal mount in the front.
  18. I agree that they can't say a dog is dangerous because it looks like a certain breed, that's just stupidity running rampant, lol.
  19. I think some people blinded by love for their dogs are missing some very key points here. My sister has a AB, biggest pushover you can imagine. But that doesn't mean a damn thing if one day she decides to take a bite out of someone.. The problem is the amount of damage these dogs can do in a very short period of time. That's the one common factor with all these dogs, regardless of how well you've think you've trained it.. Not to mention the pain threshold these dogs have, you could take a baseball bat to its head and it wouldn't phase it. So combine those certain attributes into 120lbs of muscle and you've got the potential for disaster. Anyone who thinks they can predict what an animal will do is fooling themselves. These dogs (AB's for example) were bread as working dogs (to catch and hold livestock none the less). Do I think my sisters AB would ever harm a fly? Honestly, I don't think she ever will. Is there potential for extreme damage or even death if she does compared to other breeds? Absolutely.
  20. Do it properly with concrete once and never worry about it again. There's also no reason you need a trench or anything in that pic, lol!! Dig the hole, put the post in it and fill with concrete. Some stakes and some 2x4's will keep it straight until the concrete hardens.
