Yup, 2 pairs of waders is a must. You'll always get leaks, nice to have some warm backups.

That's not a very portable unit (I've got the same one) I don't think it would be very good out on the ice. That 747c you see in my pic does double duty for me. In the boat it's attached to the US2 on my Terrova on the bow, in the winter it goes into the portable pack for me to use on the ice. You can pick up that unit pretty cheap.

Minn Kota.. If you don't have the I-Pilot, having a nice long cord on the foot pedal is worth it. Plus when it's windy and the front of that boat is bouncing up and down, you want the extra length.

I'm pretty sure they stock Simcoe every 2 years with both lakers and whities. I've read a few articles where it said they wanted to reduce the number of fish stocked in order for a self sustaining population to take over, but no mention of stopping stocking completely. -
I always check the date codes on the tires I'm buying... Every single tire has it clearly marked.

I do... Wild ones are usually smaller and from what I've noticed have a golden tinge to them. Stockers I'll keep for the oldman. -

I've seen people up there regularly make multiple trips to their truck to 'stock up'.... also have multiple stringers all over the place. I love fishing there but man you really gotta turn your head the other way sometimes.

Never had a problem with the online ordering system. Always had my license within 2-3 weeks. Although why they wait until Dec 3rd to open up the online renewals is beyond me.. They are just asking for system issues when hundreds of thousands of people try to renew all at once.
