  1. Streamside is the best bang for the buck rod out of that list. Although a Dora special is a close second.. You definitely don't wanna be cranking down on the reel when you get a fish, a new rod isn't going to fix that.
  2. Depends on the regulations, this will be stated in the exceptions for that specific FMZ if there is a 300yrd boundary (or other that applies)
  3. Hell, why not just bring a Dora rod and show everyone how it's really done.
  4. Absolutely.
  5. I can't believe that thing is alive, lol!! Nice fish, we got a nice fatty out on the lake this weekend as well.
  6. jedimaster, that's just crazy, lol! Can't wait to see the Ecodiesel numbers.
  7. 25MPG US in the city? I find that extremely hard to believe. Are you actually hand calculating this or going by what the MFA tells you?
  8. And you wonder why people keep going back to Shimano over and over again. There are a lot of fishing companies out there that should use Shimano as an example of great customer service. Same with St.Croix, one reason why you'll never find me switching from either.
  9. You better call the local CO before getting nailed for fishing a sanctuary I would guess that once the river ends and opens up into the 'mouth' you're technically fishing the main river and not the trib anymore.
  10. Because diesel is also known as home heating oil Diesel always goes up in the winter due to higher demand.... I think the most I paid this winter was around $1.49. It will be below regular gas prices in the next few weeks...
  11. Boston and St.Louis haven't been looking very good as of late.. First round should be some great hockey!
  12. You shouldn't have problems landing steelhead on your current setup, especially in the spring... As for rod length, 13-13.6 is just fine for the east tribs.
  13. Pulled the boat down to the southern shore of Lake O this weekend... A few fish came out to play, no crazy numbers though as the water temps are pretty cold. Got a sun burn on Fri/Sat!
  14. 1ft of slush, I would have turned around and went home, lol.
  15. Always fun to fish a river in flood stage
  16. That creek will be a trickle once all the snow melt is done
  17. The Detroit/Toronto rivalry was insane.. I still hate Bettman for moving them to the west. Glad they are back!
  18. Going to be lots and lots and lots of flooding after these warms temps! Notty will bust over the banks in the next few days I'm sure in some places.
  19. I find most of the fleas stay on the braid above the dipsy and doesn't make it down to the lure, I run 40lb braid on my dipsys and 17lb Trilene Big Game on the rigger rods.. I'd probably start out with 4 rods as well... I run convectors like fishnsled and cheap Rapala dipsy rod (Spend more $$$ on the reels, the rod doesn't make a huge difference, they are all pool cues).. As for rigger rods I have a set of old Fenwick custom fibreglass ones with are a blast paired with some Diawa Sealine 47Hs (Can't go wrong with these either)... It really doesn't have to be complicated out there.
  20. I ended up watching a whole bunch more related vids... Is it just me or was hockey better back then?
  21. My best Detroit memory is............. http://youtu.be/Rw5lem-2UjM
  22. I'm chirping you because you decided to show up just as your team was making a push before the playoffs not before that.. That's a bandwagon jumper to me.. If Detroit didn't make the playoffs we wouldn't hear a peep from you in this thread. Keep that foam finger flying bro! lol (BTW, this is all in good fun man, I gotta bust someones balls because my team didn't make it, lol!)
  23. This is true, I will see you back in the Leafs thread :)
