  1. Outstanding! Light makes all the difference. Mind posting the EXIF?
  2. Can't wait to get my small stream trout fix! Good job especially in those conditions!
  3. Eh, I don't know about that. It's not like they slaughtered Detroit. The best game they played in the entire series was game #5.
  4. I'd buy a used phone if I were you.. $600 for a cellphone is crazy!
  5. Terry, roller or bunks? What I do is remove the straps/safety chain but leave the hook on the winch attached. I'll get the oldman to back it down until the rear floats (Even if it doesn't, no big deal). I'll reach over and remove tension on the winch so it can unwind. The boat will either move down the trailer unwinding the winch or it will just sit there on the trailer if the water is to low. I undo the front strap, start the motor and reverse it off if I have to. I put it on the trailer the same way. It's extremely fast, no docks required and I'm in and out of the water in zero time. Give a shot next time (Make Brian do all the work! lol!)
  6. Dave, did anyone attempt to make it to the 'island', heh.
  7. With the high water levels and ice cold water temps, the thought of chasing resident fish on Saturday wasn't very appealing.. Lots and lots of skunks according to a few of my buddies so it looks like the right decision was made to hold off for a few weeks until the water temps come up a bit. Decided to head down to Lady O for round two with my buddy Dave this spring and boy oh boy did it ever pay off spades. Hit the water at sunrise and I didn't get the second rod set before the inside dipsy rod was ripping. We stopped counting once the total hit 20.. After the forearms and shoulders started to get a little sore we both look over at the graph and it says 10:17am!! We both just laughed, felt more like 2-3pm! The fish beat us up all day but we really couldn't complain. From about noon on wards the net didn't even come out and all fish were left in the water and the hooks pulled, I didn't feel like dealing with the slime to be honest It's crazy what a few degrees can do to the fishing. One of many 12-15lbrs... This is what I was greeted with pretty much the entire day.. Davey getting into the action! Lots and lots of clipped fish, I think we might have landed maybe 1-2 naturals throughout the day. It was a bit bumpy in the morning with some rain, but it let up and the sun came out. Dave is probably a bit pissed he didn't buy a St.Catharines Game and Fish Derby ticket, this was easily a 2nd place fish in the Lake Trout category (2nd place at the time was 21.XX) Well over 23lbs on the scale. An absolute cow!!! Dave and I definitely love chasing resident fish, but there's a weird addiction to Lake O as well. 4am mornings, lots of gas money but with days like these it's all worth it. Would have been nice if some bigger chinook came out to play (We landed 2 small shakers and had multiple rips) but we are thinking the water is still a bit too cold for that. They are definitely hanging around (Really easily to tell a chinook from a laker on the graph).. We'll be back at it soon!
  8. Nick, sounds like a great day with the boy even if the fish didn't co-operate.
  9. If Pitts loses this series, you won't believe what's going to happen come the off season.. You heard it here first folks! lol! Good effort by the Wings, but Boston was just too much. Boston/Montreal could be the series of the playoffs, can't wait!
  10. Drew, count me in for a dozen or so of those badboys if that helps you with ordering
  11. OP, did you have 'Find My iPhone' enabled? If so, enable 'Lost mode' and the phone will be completely useless to anyone, basically turning it into a brick.
  12. Disgusting, but you really can't be surprised. Article should have stated her insurance company was suing their insurance company which happens all the time.
  13. I was thinking that's how it worked... I guess it's silly to put a tournament on (at least bass where pre-fishing is the norm) on opening weekend.
  14. Bring on Lady O......again!

The zone seemed to be anything from 44-46 degrees on the weekend

Is that on the south shore? That is way warmer than anything I saw on my graph today.

  15. Marchand couldn't pay for a puck to go in lastnight. Although the D man has to be on him. Goalie can't be everywhere all the time.
  16. The Monster played a great game! I was hoping Detroit would win to stretch out that series a bit longer. But Game 5 in Boston? That's a tough gig. Matt, it sounds like we've caught the disease that's been rampant in Ottawa for the past few years
  17. Get your copies before there's a riot I think I'll head down to Canadian Tire today and pick up mine. Thanks for the heads up OP!
  18. I love hitting new lakes, especially local ones. Lots and lots of choices around here, that's for sure. We definitely shouldn't have a lack of reports with all the great trips people have planned.
  19. Also, unless you want to keep you foot on the trolling motor 100% of the time, you don't want a cable steer. Leave those for the bass boats
  20. Yup, let insurance deal with it.. I wouldn't be writing any letters to anyone.
  21. As big as you can afford. I've got a 60in, 8olb Terrova with I-Pilot Link and it's awesome.. Especially when it's hooked up to the HB 898c HD SI. I can control everything from the drivers seat. The longer shaft is great when it gets bouncy out there (keeps the prop in the water even in the rough stuff)
