  1. My Guest listed 12v/24V right on the box. There's really no point in charging the entire circuit at one time with a single lead., it would take way longer. One lead to each battery is definitely the way to do it.
  2. My Guest will charge two 12V in series (Two leads, one to each battery), or a 24V system (One lead to each battery + and -), either or it doesn't matter. It's a 24V charger just like the box says.
  3. Of course, because he'll be using a 24V charger Same setup I use, 1 bank to bat #1, 2nd bank to bat #2, works great. The only time I left anything connected with two batteries was when I was charging 2 12V in parallel in a 12V system. But hey, whatever works to get those batteries charged.
  4. Drew, you'll love the Terrova, it's a great motor.
  5. You'll need to remove the link between both batteries before charging them. What I'd do is just get a on board 24V charger and be done with it. Guest makes some nice ones, not very expensive either.
  6. You're from Stoney Creek, you can make the drive to Lewiston in 30mins. If you're saving that much across the border then drive over and pick it up.............and forget to declare it at the border.
  7. If your drag is too tight a snubber won't help you You want the drag set so if you make a sharp turn the outside rod (With the most pressure on it) barely clicks off.
  8. lol @ the left handed conspiracy theory. I don't run Shimano rods, but use their reels pretty much exclusively.
  9. You shouldn't have run to flashers and flies for these fish... Spoons behind the dipys should work just fine.
  10. You should be able to get some good discounts on the HB 859/898 units with the new ION and Onyx units now on the market.
  11. Thanks man, and yeah it looks exactly the same...
  12. Even then, just don't have the drag cranked and you'll be fine.
  13. I don't run snubbers on my dipsys.. And run the lure maybe 4-6ft behind it.
  14. No no, I meant a savings of 15lbs You'll still be lugging around a 50lb battery, lol!
  15. Yup, this might be the ticket.. (Although I'd use the stock Lund back and cushion rest)
  16. Deep cycle? You aren't going to find something much lighter then what's already out there.. maybe a AGM but you'll pay for it... Is that worth 15lbs? Probably not.
  17. Yeah so that's a big one. You definitely want to run that on a #3 setting to get it away from the boat. I would start out in say 60ft of water and let line out until it ticks bottom..(Simcoe is mostly sand you won't hurt anything). That will be about the easiest way to really figure out how deep/how much line you'll wanna let out. Davey, a dodger is just a flasher (Similar to a Spin Doctor). An attractant put a few feet up from your lure.
  18. My point was the tow rating between a car and a ATV are like apples and oranges. They aren't even close to being the same. Any ATV towing 1500lbs isn't doing that at 70mph on the 401 More like 2mph from the back yard to the front with a giant load of wood.
  19. 275'? Holy crap I wouldn't want to be the one reeling in that rig, lol! Dave which size Dipsy do you have? On a #3 setting this spring I was hitting bottom in 50ft of water running maybe 125ft-150ft out (40lb PP on my setups). I also like letting the dipsys out on the clicker instead of free spool, they'll tangle if they just drop right to the bottom (Or so I've found)
  20. I loved his performance in Good Will Hunting.. One of the best! He'll be missed.
  21. Your ATV isn't driving down the highway at 70mph. Big difference.
  22. Yup.. Did the same out on Gloucestor Pool lastnight with the oldman. Lots of smallies on topwaters!
