  1. LOL This thread is funny to read Hey Clofchik my advice is chew quick, leave carcass for the skunks and say you got the picture off the internet. LOL Man those Salmon Cops play hardball (OK may have stole that line off Johnny Fever) Actually I heard that Salmon/Steelhead society may have it's own secret police kinda KGB ish Ok I'll quit Bushart
  2. close-up
  3. I'll post this as I had it on another thread some time back during development. Well It bugged me so I added some more depth to the background and brightened up my salmon--see as long as I still own it I can Tinker--kinda like re-arranging your tackle in the winter. Besides it only took approx an hour to change. I have'nt posted anything new(paintings) lately cause what I'm working on took some research -but it'll soon be complete. Gonna be something completely different. Again 2 views Bushart
  4. Hey Splashopper---You gotta be A fellow Robbie fan to use that quote---no? Bushart
  5. Cause when I'm fishin with all my friends I got nobody to take the picture while I hold the fish
  6. Current breaks--undercut banks are usually gold---eddies---bridge structures are money--slack water weedlines. If your driving to Goderich---grab a buddy and a canoe and trip the Saugeen up to Walkerton/Paisley area---tons of beaut smallies If your fishing from shore the ponds(Small lakes) in Waterford have or had some big Largies (and prehistoric snapping turtles) These will get the rust off that bass gear---but if your fishing clearwater rivers go lighter in techniques---light line--spinners/tubes and such. Now if all this fails--Whatta ya want for your stuff
  7. The one thing I know about Apsley is that I make sure I'm driving the speed limit when I'm 10 miles either side of it---not even 10km over---I've drove that route for 30 plus years and I'm pretty sure they get a new radar gun every year cause the last one wore out. Bushart
  8. Kinda have to caution you a bit------you don't want to fill those waders in strong current and hope that life jacket will keep everything good---liken those waders to 2 huge pails---hard to swim in---remember also in current that if you are inadvertently swept downstream to keep those feet as high as possible--cause if you lodge a foot under a limb or rock the current keeps pushing you down. Don't want to deter you but couple things to keep in mind. Bushart
  9. I fished it years ago with a little success---found it better up the other side of Paris for smallies if your mobile Bushart
  10. If I had a million dollars, If I had a million dollars........I'd buy me jailhouse protection.... If I had a million dollars.....I'd buy a cake with a file in it...... If I had a million dollars......I'd buy several soap on a rope.... Too Soon Huh?
  11. I made mine easy it's "GreenCoachDog" oops guess I'm not sposed to say it. Bushart
  12. Thanks for the link Bushart
  13. Slammers?? Bushart
  14. I've been shoulder deep gutting a moose----face to face with a pack of timberwolves---and I still avoid those cats. Bushart
  15. Stories like this re-affirm why I mostly fish alone. Bushart
  16. Take your battery leads off of your battery when finished for the day--avoids corrosion on your electronics connections. Bushart
  17. Some of these responses are like individuals have elected themselves Judge/Jury & Executioner---The guy had an oversight and it cost him---I think nobody would be happy with the $430 touch I myself have grabbed my flashlight out of the boat in a hurry because it was close and threw it in my truck only to drop the boat in the water sans flashlight---now I just travel another 100 ft and get another light. Now instead of posting "Wants" picture in the post office as someone who ravages the country's waterways knowingly breaking Transport Canada's laws--cut him some slack---cause I have yet to meet that person incapable of an oversight. Bushart
  18. With todays announcement of Consumers Gas 45% Price Hike does anyone have any new innovative ways to heat a home other than the old standards Wood/oil /electric They're saying $600 annualy increase to heat. Anyone know anything about those geothermal heat pumps? I'm wondering installation costs? I'm curious where this out of control trainwreck of our economy is heading? Bushart
  19. I never target pike anymore but if I was looking to catch bigger ones I'd fish for walleyes cause they're usually (pike) nearby lookin for a snack---I'm finding if the eyes are dropped off a piece of structure the gators are usually on top or very close to it
  20. Impress his wife? give me a brake! shouldve stuffed the weight in his pants! The way this guy was working he'd probably stuff down the back side of his pants
  21. I've got 5 words---"A Place For My Stuff" He was good Bushart
  22. All things are connected Whatever befalls the earth Befalls the sons of earth Man did not weave the web of life He is merely a strand in it Whatever he does to the web He does to himself "Chief Seattle" Bushart
  23. Maybe she's a P3TA warrior impersonating someone of authority or just someone normal Bushart
  24. I'm trying to keep this down to a dull roar but here's an article from "Outdoor Canada"--sorry for the blurry writing but the title is legible---this is what mine tailings can do to improve a lake. Bushart
  25. Once again lets unfurl the flag and destroy pristine nature in the name of employment---as long as we can tie a dollar figure to it- it must be ok. One would like to assume as Canadians the lands and waters belong to all --yet a minority of dollar driven short sighted latte sippers see an easy out. I wonder who was the first future rocket scientist in the Hamilton area who thought "What should we do with all this toxic waste?"--Hang on lets dump it into our drinking water supply---can't see a problem there. The days of letting these easy out has to be over ---spend the money and find an alternative. Growing up in Hamilton --yeah this ticks me off. Bushart
